I started HARPG when I was a kid and eventually got out of it, and I was inactive for years. After a brief stint in 2022, I've decided to get back into it again. So here I am!

In addition to the CS pets, 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will receive coloured and rendered artwork from myself. This artwork will be a headshot of your lovely steed wearing their rosette!

.: RULES & JUDGING :.

1. little_light and myself are the judges.

1a. Entries are judged at our discretion. There is no point system.
1b. Effort and composition in your artwork is valued over anything else. All skill levels are welcome.
1c. If you are tracing and/or referencing, ensure your references are properly licenced and credited.
1d. You are welcome to provide a short-format story with your entry, up to 1000 words (+-100 words). This will help your entry.

2. Anyone is able to participate, but you must at least own a HARPG stables and have some form of page for it (Deviantart, Toyhouse, CS, etc.).
2b. Your stables must have some effort put into it, and not just be made for this competition to get pets.
2c. This is open to both realistic and non-realistic stables.

3. You may only make one entry.

4. Entries may be Oekaki or digital art drawn elsewhere. If your entry is traditional, please provide a HQ scan/photo.

5. Your entry must be posted in this thread or PM'd to me if you wish to stay anonymous.
5a. If PM'd, I will post your entry in the thread on your behalf and keep your username anonymous.
5b. By entering you give permission for your art to be posted on & off site with credit.

6. These rules may change or be added to at judges discretion; there's a large chance I'll think of something else important to add.

Your entry must consist of a coloured and rendered full body shot of your horse with it's rider, and a background. Your entry must comprise of Show-Jumping, Cross-Country or Dressage. Your background may be slightly blurred and/or less detailed. This is an example. This is not an indication to emulate the art style, it's just an example of what is expected. DA is full of excellent HARPG-comp references to understand what is expected.

Your entry must contain your horse & rider details (+ story if applicable), a link to this competition, and your HARPG stable.

Summary: Reverie Dawn Estate is an expansive estate owned by the prestigious Ross family that encompasses the entire Scottish highlands and surrounding isles. This world is set in a sci-fi retro future where the Ross family is part of a civil resistance group that opposes the urbanisation and destruction of a planets ecosphere; and as such their estate is a pristine example of nature. Expect rolling hills, deep conifer forests and rugged moors and mountains.

My entry for the show-jumping, I know its not traditional to show the horse not jumping so tell me if this doesn't work.

I included a short story with it as well on the oekaki image, if you prefer I paste it here I will.
