The sun was low casting a beutiful yet haunting hue across the vast horizon. A mix of reds, pinks and yellows bleeding into the sky. A white figure appeared on a dune as the tom studied the beach, low tide... Sköllulf knew this whould be a perfect time to go treasure hunting, digging his paws into the cooling sands he slid down the dune. His companion a tail length behind him. While he landed gracefully... His companion did not. The tom stiffles his laughter about to comment when his eyes lands on something shiny. Graceful pawsteps carried him towards it. Reaching out to get a closer inspection. He expected the toutch to be cold and smooth, instead it was.. Soft and fluffy? Curious he raised his gaze and came face to face with another feline.
Brinepool had been walking the beach outside of her territory for a while now, dragging her paws along in the sand to make lines where she walked. She and her companion, Whalefall, were looking for treasure. Well... not treasure treasure, but trench treasure. Smooth stones, soft scraps, and shiny shells -- anything Brinepool and Whalefall could hold. The fluffy molly carefully made their way further up the beach, octopus lolling around on the sand beside her as she walked. That was when it caught her eye; a bright glimmer, half-buried in the sand, beautiful in the dying sunlight. Weaving between pieces of driftwood, Brinepool bounded towards the shine, completely fixated on the object as she was reaching her paw out to poke it. Instead of hooking the item out of the sand like she intended, Brinepool was stopped by a smooth, warm pawpad. Her eyes darted upwards with surprise scrawled across her face. Brinepool's curious eyes met the sunset-steeped white fur of... another cat?
