The weather was awful, rain so heavy you could barely see. Certainly not a day for adventure at least as far as sensible folk would think. And yet a mare trudged along, uncaring about the soaked nature of her coat. She wasn't sure about where she was going and the way she walked showed little care for much of anything. The rain showed little sign of letting up, fat droplets leaving little chance of staying dry if you weren't soaked already.
Sarena sighed heavily, it had truly been a stupid idea to leave without seeing if she could have possibly known about the rain before setting off. As it was she was cold, wet, and utterly miserable. Adventuring in the pouring rain, how foolish she was. Mud covered her usually pristine coat and feathers in the most hideous splatters from where she she had fallen earlier in the journey. Serving to only further her misery.
Kaelus had escaped his stall and was debating on returning when he saw her, the most beautiful Galingale mare he'd ever seen. She was stunning despite being soaking wet and covered in mud. The stallion lurched forward and almost fell due to an unexpected dip in the terrain below his hooves. It was at that moment Sarena turned her head and met Kaelus' gaze. She wasn't usually a vain mare but at that moment she desperately wished she was free of the mud and grime from her adventure. Yet this stranger looked at her like she was the first glimpse of the sun after days of rain.
Unless I post somewhere, I'm not selling/trading closed species critters.
