While the chipmunk was being nurses back to health, Sugar stayed pretty close to watch and provide a comforting presence. Once the chipmunk was back to full health he was released back into the wild, but he had other ideas and came right back to the Ranch. He made himself a little nest in the upper corner of Sugar's stall, and they've been close friends ever since. Now the Chipmunk, now Named Chocolate Chip, sticks close to Sugar all the time, goes on rides with her and brings her snacks when he comes back from foraging, and in turn Sugar shares her own snacks with Chip and let's him sit on her head or back whenever she's on the move.
