Depending on how the itty bitty babooshka baby man turns out, they might become a constellation deity. However, I'll have them start out as like a demigod or epic hero, have them go on a super cool epic amazing cool quest and then the gods offer them immortality in the stars/heavens, and they accept due to the pain they have accumulated on earth. This pain will either be emotional pain, such as losses over their adventures, or maybe physical pain as in they have been severely damaged from their adventures and yearn to dance and run once more. It would be the gods offering the cat pity after seeing all the suffer they had gone through. I kind of wanna riff off of what is done with a character in the Percy Jackson series, where the gods reward the mortal with a memory of their feats in the sky for all mortals to look at and look up to (literally and metaphorically). Ethimos is also going to be based more on Gaea from Percy Jackson, in the sense that she is the god of the planet where my cats live and is like a really old ancient deity from before cats inhabited the planet. I have some other ideas for planetary gods, but they'd honestly just be for fun, as they won't interact very much with my lore-related cats, but I hope that I can make this kitten into a relatable figure for the modern felines. Their story could also be a cute little bedtime story that the Maidens can tell to their kits when they're scared or too rowdy to go to bed fast enough. I could also perhaps make the kitten and Ethimos related in lore, since I want them to be a demigod. Although, since Ethimos is in a sort-of trance/sleep in lore, I would have to pull an Athena and have the kid be born in an unconventional way since Ethimos isn't there physically.

Jackdaw looks at the ground, his shoulders heaving as he growled and lashed his tail eyes wild and filled with anger. He looked up at the knights, the felines meant to answer to him. Their faces filled with discontent and fear as his eyes landed on each of them before he lifted his head fully and snarled a hiss that shook his whole body.

Spinning on his heels he shot from the room, the jewels on his tail crashing loudly with the tiled floor as his tail smacked it from his rough spin as he bolted down corridors with no apparent goal in mind. Almost crashing into another feline who jumped out of the way with a yowl.

"Jackdaw?!"

He ignored the call and kept running, ignoring the set of paws following him, ignoring the questions and ingoring the noise as he shot through an open door into the courtyard, the bellowing amber skies and arching pillars of obsidian greeting him as he skidded to a stop, body heaving for air as he half collapsed to the ground.

"Jackdaw?" The feline asked again, rounding to stand infront of him. Their ears perked and four blank ivory eyes stared down at him.

"What, do you want Toska." He hissed, ears falling back as he stumbled to stand from his unsightfull posture on the ground.

Toska paused and looked at him, tipping their head considering. "Do you want to watch the fireflies with me, they start to get active around now."

Jackdaw blinked, his ears swiviling and mind racing to check if he heard the other right, did a Lower Knight just ask him, the Prince of The Nine Rings, to watch.. Fireflies?

The other just stayed silent, watching the Prince carfully before Jackdaw blinked and nodded almost absently. "Where?"

Toska smiled and turned, "Over here, they tend to like the Fire Lillies." They chirped and motioned the Prince to follow, and follow the Prince did.

he had never even thought about having kits, let alone wanted them.
so when pico and zephyr showed up at their cave entrance with eyes so watery and shiny they looked like miniature pools (🥹), alifera was horrified. what now?

“kids. what is it?”
pico bounced in the air urgently. “dad, we found another kit just like us!! he was trapped in the snowstorm. he said his parents were gone when he woke up cold and shivering. can we left him live with us?”
the last string of words left the munchkin horrified, and he couldn’t bring himself to refuse.
however, zephyr seemed to notice he was hesitant. “dad, you took in pico from the snowstorm when i found him. why would this be any different?”
he grunted and supposed zephyr had a point.
after all, if he did turn them away, he would be no better than that kit’s own parents.

he stepped closer to the kit and starting licking him to warm him up. however, as he felt the kittens velvet soft fur, he sensed something creeping up his spine. the kit mewed and wriggled and that was when alifera noticed that he was blind in one eye. his irises were a cloudy grey and a vibrant blue, just like the colour of the ether when it was dawn.
“what’s your name, little one?”

the kit pivoted to stare into alifera’s own magenta eyes. there was a spark of something in there. alifera met the kit's mismatched gaze and saw stars. he heard melodies lost to time and space echoing in his eardrums, tasted the divine sensation of ambrosia that he never thought he would ever experience again. the ichor in his veins throbbed and he felt lightweight.

the world turned, axis rattling and shaking.
a lone shooting star fell, and everything and everyone was silent.

still, the kit said nothing. they simply stared at the barren cave walls where darkness and shadows danced, and ancient cave paintings seemed to come alive.
life thrummed and the strings of reality came undone, fabric became untethered.
alifera watched in horror as the kitten stayed eerily still. even zephyr and pico, the noisiest cats he'd ever seen were silent, watching the snowstorm outside in mute horror. the ether seemed to unravel, sky filled with technicolour rainbows. and in the middle of the raging tornado of snowflakes was a light blue eye, gazing down at them from up above.

reality shattered and was pieced back together.
alifera hissed. "the kit- it has to go."
"but father, we can't! its too dangerous. we need to let him stay. if we let him go, who knows what he might do unattended?"
pico wasn't exaggerating.

alifera swallowed and inhaled sharply.
"alright. he stays. but zephyr, i need you to keep an eye on him at all times."

"aye aye, dad."
for the first time, zephyr's green irises were filled with fear.
"never let him out of your sight."

"he could destroy worlds and even entire dimensions."

pico took a shaky step forward. "did you hear us...? what's your...name?"

they spoke in the tones of muffled whispers, the rattling of skeletons and bones, and the slow oozing of the void.
most importantly, in the humming of static.
"sonder."

Let's go one kit! If I get a little guy there's quite a lot of places I can put them with or without Cloudstar blessing me with a chimera! I have several rogues and one Loner in Flora Isle that need to exist and anything these two can spit out will work for that. Some of the more exciting options include Ebony the Loner who is super grumpy and just wants all these human loving cats to leave her alone but she has a soft spot for Peanut who just has this aura about him that makes his dopey optimism cute instead of grating to the polar opposite Loner. She thinks its quite silly he carries around a twoleg toy like its a kit but wouldn't hesitate to throw paws to protect him and his toy if anyone else commented on his obsession with it.

Another pair of exciting options are Pōpoki and ʻīlio! These two are best friends and depending on if Cloudstar or Pālima throw their tail edits one of these two are definitely possible! Pōpoki is the catest cat you ever did see meanwhile ʻīlio is the most doglike cat you ever did see but they both are somehow the best of friends despite being on polar opposite ends of the cat spectrum! I think it would be neat to get one of them through breeding just for the fun of it!

Another exciting option is Hala! This is Popoki Iho's Acolyte and best friend, Hala is just a cutie who wants to help Popoki Iho spread the good word of identity and being true to who you are. Hala is also really hard to write about because Hala's pronouns will be whatever color Hala is. Its a very clever pun I assure you! Hala and Popoki Iho have known each other since forever, since before Popoki Iho knew they were a deity. It's just such a cute dynamic I love these pals so much!!!

it was like staring at the sun… that ephemeral and gods-forsaken moment where his eyes seared her right down to the very bone. its burn almost intolerable as it boiled the blood in her veins, driving her entirely…. foolishly mad. her breaths hissed between his teeth as the invisible columns of honeyed fire spilled down his throat. the pain, the sweetest she had ever tasted.

her very blood still yearned for him like how icarus who had wanted a taste of the sun, whose waxen wings had ascended in a revelry of raw sunlight and ephemeral highs…before he was bathed with tongues of fire and woodsmoke. before he plunged himself into the pits of hell.

perhaps she was doing the same.
but it did it matter? perhaps the line between heaven and hell was finer than one realized. obscured to the point where the bonfires of fires seemed more like the rupturing of stars on their last breath, enough to send their lips into an eternal, hazed lust for its golden ichor stolen from the very veins of heaven itself. .

she saw what they once had. their love built upon insurmountable golden cities and ruin, where they wasted away their nights drinking themselves stupid on cheap honeyed liquour sold by the barrel. their love all sweet nothings and musings of poetry only tasted by the moon-soaked dawn.

it was only then when he grinned, glassy crystalline eyes distorted as if he too remembered.
