The fox's teeth parted from Darkfang's jaws as the fox screamed in pain and now tried to attack Bearpaw. Darkfang took this opprotunity of freedom to sink his teeth into the back of the foxes neck. The fox screamed again, a strange gurgling sound was heard and then all was quiet. Darkfang stepped off the fox and let out a few pants. "He was quite the fighter." He turned to his apprentice. "You did a great job. If you hadn't of clawed him to let go of my leg, he could have easily flipped me off of him." He looked back to the fox. "The fox is dead. Let's go back to camp to treat these wounds and to tell Flamestar of the news," Darkfang said and then turned around to hobble back to camp.

Bearpaw nodded and followed Darkfang, smirking and waving his tail happily. If he can defeat a fox himself, he can beat any cat! New goal, kill a fox myself. He glared back at where the Fox's dead body was, next time, he'll be the one to kill it.

Dawnfire came up behind Flamestar silently, "It must be hard." she murmured, "All of these cats to watch over." She came up next to her and sat, looking out over the enormous clan resting in the huge place the clans had once called four trees. Dawnfire herself wasn't quite used to the combination of the clans. She wasn't sure she was ready for the day when she would have to take over the clan.

Griffinpaw stretched in the apprentice's den and let out a huge yawn. Looking at the light streaming in through the roots of the huge tree, the young tom gasped, "It's already this late in the morning!?" he shrieked to himself. He sprang to his feet and raced out of the apprentice's den only to slam into Hollyleaf, one of the medicine cats.

Flamestar sighed softy and looked back at Dawnfire. "It is. But thankfully we don't have to worry about border skirmishes or any of that nonsense." She licked her chest fur down as she thought silently to herself. I just don't know why Starclan would choose this faith for us. To become one...Everyone thought it was impossible...But Starclan said it would work...I just hope they were right.

Darkfang hobbled into what used to be fourtrees. His foot was bitten but as long as the medicine cat gave him some herbs he knew he would be fine. He saw two cats, Flamestar and Dawnfire, on top of the large rock. They were looking down upon the clan. Darkfang turned his head to his apprentice and said, "Bearpaw. Go tell Flamestar that the fox is dead. I'm going to the medicine cat den." Darkfang turned away from the apprentice and went to the medicine cat's den to be treated.

Bearpaw nodded and headed towards Flamestar. Halfway to her, Foxpaw ran into him "Bearpaw!" she called as they fell. "Get off me!" He hissed as he scrambled out from under her. "Where've you been?" Foxpaw asked "I fought a fox." Bearpaw boasted before continuing on his way to get to Flamestar. "Cool!" Foxpaw exclaimed, following him. "What was it like?" Bearpaw lashed his tail at her second question. "I'm have to go talk to Flamestar, now go somewhere!" He hissed. Foxpaw laughed, "I'm following you, Dawnfire's with Flamestar ya know." She pointed to them with her tail. "Yeah, whatever. Just stay quiet." With that, Bearpaw ran to the rock with Foxpaw behind him. He stopped at the bottom and sat down, unsure if he was allowed up there. "Flamestar!" He called, trying to get her attention.

Flamestar pricked her ears and looked down to see a young apprentice calling her name. "Bearpaw!" She exclaimed as she was looking down. She quickly flicked her tail and dipped her head in goodbye to Dawnfire then jumped down off the rock. "What is it?" She said to the young tom.
