What historical event: synoris olympic games! (two-horse charriot, ~400 bce)
Why there: this boy is ~speedy~, and he wanted to pull those darn chariots! he is very proud, and loves to win. in his eyes, speed is the greatest value anyone can have, so winning the chariot races would prove he's the best!

What historical event: 1920-1930s, Nova Scotia - Bluenose’s racing career
Why there: Fascinated by the appearance of the ship on Canada’s currency and stamps, he learned all he could about sailing ships. Bluenose’s career was impressive, continuously beating vessels specifically designed to outrun her. He’s saddened by the fact engines eventually made her obsolete, and she was sold to be stripped and used a labour vessel before tragically meeting her end so far from home. He desperately wants to see her in action, to watch her come home with trophies for his country, to witness a legacy in the making

What historical event: the signing of the Treaty of in 1919
Why there: Because it marked the formal end of World War I, a conflict in which countless horses played a critical and often tragic role. Horses were indispensable during the war, serving in cavalry units, hauling supplies, and even pulling artillery.
He would want to witness the treaty to ensure that their immense sacrifice was acknowledged and remembered in history. Perhaps they'd trot proudly into the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, hoping for a mention in the speeches about how horses were partners in humanity's struggles and triumphs.
Or maybe they’d just enjoy the grandeur of Versailles, quietly whispering to themselves, "Finally, peace—for humans and Equines."

What historical event: the garden of Eden (before humanity’s fall from Grace)
Why there:
Wanted to see what a perfect world was supposed to be - doesn’t intend to save humanity from the fall but happens to do so cuz he gets hungry and sees a delicious-looking super-appealing fruit
(Dunno if this counts as historical event though as far as I’m aware many alleged historical events may or may not have actually happened)

What historical event: First controlled, sustained flight of an engine-powered, heavier-than-air aircraft - December 17, 1903, four miles (6 km) south of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina (the Wright Brothers)
Why there: This beautiful fellow has always wanted to fly--although he would never admit it to the rest of his herd, for fear of being made fun of. They would of course support him, but he still dreams so vibrantly of such a beautiful experience! Seeing where it all began, from such meager dreams of humankind's own, he would feel empowered--maybe he, too, could someday soar.

Username: Toffi~What historical event: 18. Juni 1815 WaterlooWhy there: He heared a song the other day and it's stuck in his head now. Sad thing is the only Word he catched up has been "Waterloo" and the rest of the text remains unknown to him. Though this catchy tune made him think of a wonderfull Party Time, so he would try and travle back to that Time and Place the Song was about. Just to find a total different Event than expected...

What historical event: The Tunguska event!
Why there: Because he wants to prove the existance of aliens and he is the biggest supporter of the theory it was nothing else but an alien ship explosion - he simply MUST see the alien ship with his own eyes!

(its important to go back to the future before it actually explodes, however... otherwise it will be a very short "I knew it!!" moment

)
