Bearpaw nodded and took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down a little. He hesitated then looked up at his mentor, before looking to where the fox probally was. He may have confidence in himself, but he was still an apprentice and was nervous about being in the lead when comfronting a fox.

Darkfang nodded his head and then crouched down. "Don't be scared. Nothing bad will happen as long as you remember everything I've taught you about fighting. Now...get ready Bearpaw. We're going to surround him. I'll jump behind him after you jump in front of him. If you jump in front of him he will run the opposite way most likely. If he doesn't...I'll pounce on him. Got it?"

Bearpaw nodded and hurried towards the sent. He lashed his tail in annoyance, he wasn't scared just unsure! Spotting the fox he stopped and waited. Hoping his mentor was in position Bearpaw pounced infront of it hissing. His fur was puffed up as he claw at it's nose when it started growling at him.

The fox was growling at Bearpaw. Fox-dung! This one's a brave one! Darkfang growled lowly as he pounced atop the red beast and sank it's claws into it's back. It growled louder now and tried to bite him. Darkfang was careful but still his foot as bitten by the fox. He had the fox pinned but the fox had his foot.

"Let go of my mentor!" Bearpaw growled as he slashed at it's face and bit into it's ear. He shook his head like a dog, letting his back paws scratch it's muzzle.

The fox's teeth parted from Darkfang's jaws as the fox screamed in pain and now tried to attack Bearpaw. Darkfang took this opprotunity of freedom to sink his teeth into the back of the foxes neck. The fox screamed again, a strange gurgling sound was heard and then all was quiet. Darkfang stepped off the fox and let out a few pants. "He was quite the fighter." He turned to his apprentice. "You did a great job. If you hadn't of clawed him to let go of my leg, he could have easily flipped me off of him." He looked back to the fox. "The fox is dead. Let's go back to camp to treat these wounds and to tell Flamestar of the news," Darkfang said and then turned around to hobble back to camp.

((O.O Mind if I ask why they are attacking? It's kind of...sudden. Then again, raids usually are sudden. But seriously, why are they attacking? And is Pebblepaw's mentor with them too?))

( yay... she heard a fox as they were going back tocamp and ust ran for the fox... i just got on so.. i jumped in XD))
