Nature Fact:
Sloths can hold their breath longer than dolphins! They can slow their heart rate and hold their breath for up to 40 minutes underwater, while dolphins typically last around 10 minutes. This adaptation helps sloths stay hidden from predators when they occasionally take a swim!

Nature Fact:
When you think of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, you imagine a massive chuck or something akin to trash island. In truth, the Pacific Gyre's trash is spaced extremely few and far between, comparative to the asteroid belt that people similarly mistake as being incredibly close, however, they can be hundreds of millions of miles apart.
Due to the lowering amount of driftwood in the oceans and higher amounts of trash humans cast away without care, animals are adapting to the floating detritus and Flourishing. Scientists aren't sure whether it would be better or not to remove the artificial trash biome, as to remove the pollutants would kill the thousands of animals residing there.
As far as notable animals go, this animal in particular finds its home in this massive Pacific Gyre. It is the Blue Dragon Nudibranch, aka the Blue glaucus.
They have virtually no ability to locomote of their own volition, yet they feed almost exclusively on Portuguese man o' war, which also hosts similarly aimless locomotion.
Glacucus, with their long finger like appendages, rip bits off of stinging/toxic matter from the Portuguese man o' war for sustenance... and another, incredible purpose. These stinging/toxic bits are then absorbed into the Glaucus' body and held in the tendrils, ready to defend itself from would be attackers.

Nature Fact: Zebras and wildebeests have a unique and special relationship in the wild. They don’t compete for food because they both eat different types/lengths of grass. Wildebeests have great sense of smell and hearing whilst the zebras have great eyesight to watch for predators. Zebras also might stick around wildebeest because they can escape faster, meaning the predators will likely go after the wildebeest instead.

Nature Fact: Reindeer go to great lengths to seek out the hallucinogenic fly agaric mushroom (Amanita muscaria) and eating the fungi makes them behave drunkenly, run about aimlessly and make strange noises. This mushroom is incredibly toxic to humans! Though the reindeer just experiences the effects listed above! There is a way humans can safely “consume” this mushroom but I’ll leave that part for you to look up yourself lol

Nature Fact: Binturongs produce secretions from glands located at the base of their tail. These secretions are believed to function as carriers for pheromones used to demark territories and signal to other binturongs. To humans, these secretions give off a scent reminiscent of buttered popcorn.
This is extremely weird and very neat! congratulations! You have won this little palomino!
All the facts were really cool guys, this was a tough one! I learned some really neat things!
