Snarlthorn swim fast even though she was a windclan cat. her legs be strong enough to carry her through the water. ( trains)

Pebblepaw put her paw in the water and quickly drew it back out. "I..I don't think I can do this...I'm not good at swimming...what if I drown?" Pebblepaw's eyes were full of fear

Darkfang dipped his head. "That sounds reasonable." He flicked his tail infront of them. "Lead the way, Bearpaw." He smiled at his apprentice.

Bearpaw grinned and walked faster so he was infront of Darkfang. It felt good for him to lead. Once they reached Owl Tree, Bearpaw turned back to his mentor. "Can you smell the fox, I don't know what it smells like?"

((For some reason I thought that someone had just gotten offline. Sorry. I need to stop staying up so late ^^'))

Darkfang parted his jaws to taste the air. "...I don't believe so...why don't we just check somewhere else." Darkfang looked around this place. He didn't truthfully smell the fox but he knew that when they were close enough to the fox, Bearpaw would smell it and notice how unusual it was.

((Darkfang kind of wants Bearpaw to notice it for himself because it'll give Bearpaw the sense of accomplishing something because just being told the scent was there would be boring and wouldn't put much excitement into learning the lesson. ^^ ))

Bearpaw stared at Darkfang for a second before walking around the tree. He could've sworn the fox should've been around here. He shrugged and started heading towards Snakerocks. With a flick of his tail, he stopped and sented the air. He smelt something he never smelled before and turned to his mentor. "Is this the sent of the fox?" he asked, hoping his mentor could smell it too.

Pondpaw looked at the water with doubtful eyes but she did as she was told. She stepped in and this time she let the water rise up to halfway up her legs. She didn't like the feel of this but she did as she was told. She was confused on how to swim so she just walked. She became worried when she couldn't feel the bottom. "Ah!" she excalimed when she felt no bottom and returned to the spot where she felt the bottom.

The fur on the back of Darkfang's neck rose. "Yes. That's Fox," he snarled. "Scent can tell you a lot about where it is. It's a lot like hunting. Do you know where the fox's scent is coming from?" He was testing Bearpaw. His claws unsheated to be ready for a surprise attack by the fox, just in case. Darkfang always expected the unexpected.

" just padd you feet", snarlthorn meow as she paddle her feet to the deepest part. " if you can get half way here you will get first pick of the freshkill pile"

Bearpaw flicked his tail to the right, where the sent was getting stronger. "Over there." He replied, feeling slightly nervous. This is the real deal, I won't let a fox ruin my training.

Pondpaw's eyes lit up at her mentor's comment. She jumped in the water and flapped her paws about trying to swim. She tried as hard as she could. But soon she became scared and started to slow down.

Darkfang nodded. "You're correct....I hope your remember all that fighting training I taught you. Because this fox is about to be history." He winked at his apprentice.
