Nature Fact: my favorite nature facts are about koalas. did you know they have smooth brains? no wrinkle. they also are not very bright. their main source of food is eucalyptus, however, if a human were to put eucalyptus on a plate, the koala would not recognize it as food. they only recognize the leaves/branches as food if they are actually growing from the plant.
eucalyptus also offers them hardly any nutritional value, and eucalyptus itself evolved to be the least edible thing it could be (poisonous lol), but for some reason koalas just decided no, i shall eat you. because it gives them so little nutrients, all they have energy to do is basically eat and sleep. eucalyptus also shreds their teeth down, and for some reason koalas did not evolve to have constantly growing teeth, so sometimes their teeth will be sanded down to nothing and they will starve.

basically, evolution failed koalas, but i love the little smooth brained weirdos.
