this song is particularly representative of the part of knollclan's history where Sandviper and Basilscratch are in power. Having initially seized control of the clan in a coup by killing Cinderstar, the two start off utterly convinced of their own righteousness... I have liked this song as a representation of this arc for awhile, as I feel it fits Sandviper's spiral of self-doubt as she struggles with guilt over Cinderstar's death and the disapproval and fear of her clanmates during this time. They did what was right... right?

in a few delicate steps, he opens a small sack, revealing the shimmering contents. "this is for you. i... couldn't have done it without you. i mean it." a softer smile curves on his lips, a touch more shy. "i guess this wraps things up, too. i'm not great with goodbyes, but maybe i'll see you around one day?"
