the chime of a flute weaves through the boom and bustle of the carnival, rising above the billows of scarlet and white tents, sailing past colorful flags. the melody lilts, gentle and enchanting, guiding you to a hidden garden.

already, tiny sprouts gleam under the brush of daylight and hints of color peak through the rich soil. stacks of woven baskets adorned with pins of shrooms and acorns rest nearby. a promise that harvest day is near.

at the gate, a tiny form sleeps, head tucked against his starry flowers. a silver flute rests by his side, mud freckles his nose, and the heat tints his cheeks a rosy hue. he doesn't stir at your touch━maybe you should return later?

• help max catch all 200 runaway carrots by answering the prompts! this distracts the carrots just enough that you can snatch them up━please read here for full details / prompts / the form!
• 200 carrots is our community goal! this means the community works together to achieve it! as we reach certain milestones (every 25th, every 50th, the 100th, the 200th), the community unlocks more chances to earn carrot coins, which can be used to purchase super cool items in our event shop!

whew! it took awhile, but i planted all the carrot seeds and i think they're just about done! i also played them some music with my flute... i heard somewhere that music makes plants grow faster. i'm also supposed to be keeping watch for birds and stuff, but i'm tired. getting everything ready for harvest day was really hard work. i'll just close my eyes for a moment. everything should be okay... i'm sure of it! what could go wrong?

all the below are day five faq questions! these are no longer applicable for day seven ^^
i) how are prizes (event currency) awarded?
there are participation prizes, milestone prizes (rng), top-carrot-catcher prizes and judged prizes! as long as you post a valid entry (meet min word count and within page / time limit), you’re eligible to be considered for all four c:

milestones:
• determined via rng on discord! everyone who posts within a “defined pool” has a chance of earning a prize! this means that pools are constantly changing to reflect current entries!

• every 25th milestone = x12 users from that pool of 25 will receive +5 carrot coins
• every 50th milestone = x15 users from that pool of 50 will receive +10 carrot coins
• 100th milestone = x18 users from that pool of 100 will receive +15 carrot coins
• 200th milestone = x20 users from the whole pool of 200 will receive +20 carrot coins
top carrot catcher prizes:
• the top three users who caught the most carrots (i.e. contributed / posted the most valid entries) will receive +15 carrot coins!

judged prizes:
• seven selected users will receive +15 carrot coins!

participation prize:
• everyone who posts a valid entry will receive +1 gift basket ticket for participating!


ii) what does the community goal of 200 carrots mean?
this means that the stars community has to work together to catch all 200 carrots (you do not have to post 200 times yourself dw 😭)! by hitting certain milestones, the community will unlock more opportunities to earn carrot coins to purchase items at our event shop!

iii) help! i don’t really understand which prompt to answer!
you can choose any prompt (surprise, bribe or befriend) to answer when you post! as long as you have a minimum of 35 words and you’re following the posting rules (once per hour or once every third page), you’re all good

iv) can i switch up which prompt i answer each time?
of course! you can choose whichever prompt inspires you each time you post or just stick with one – it’s up to you! just make sure you follow the min word count and posting rules!

v) what does posting a valid entry mean?
the form is fully filled out with your name, id & sign-up link! as well, make sure you post a minimum 35 words for a prompt response and you’re following the posting rules (once per hour or on every third page)!

lumi crept up behind the carrot, careful to keep her body low to the ground and to calm her nervous breaths. as she grew closer, her pounding heart only hammered on faster. finally, she was within range; with a quick pounce and a satisfied "aha!" she pounced upon the small vegetable. it felt rather rude to catch them by surprise, so she chose to soften the blow with a well-timed compliment!

Elowen smiles sweetly at the purple-colored carrot hiding behind the wooden crate. A small bundle of rainbow-flavored cotton candy lay at the center of her outstretched paw, its soft fluffy exterior like a gentle cloud. "Come on, I have a sweet treat for you, little one," she meows tenderly, speaking softly so as to not frighten the small creature. "Just follow me and you can have the little treat."

Opal isn't sure how exactly these...sentient carrots will respond to any attempt to communicate with them. Could they even understand cat speech? Well, I guess there's only one way to find out.

Uncertainly, she walks up to one and gives it an awkward wave. "Uh, hi. You guys are uh...pretty smart. You know, for a plant." She winces as soon as the words leave her mouth. It's meant to be a compliment, but perhaps she could have worded it better...

Owlflight skitters after a bright purple carrot- his very favorite type!- and finally manages to catch up to it! Thinking fast, he spouts off the first 'fun fact' he can think of- something silly from the very first days of the Wake of Giants.
