The vaunted goosroom is the central hub for all stories that get written and published, as well as every piece of mail that gets sent. Upon looking at it though, it quickly becomes clear why they have been known to, on occasion, lose pieces of mail (although the chief editor might tell you otherwise). The architecture of the building mirrors the ruins on the ground, but with its extravagant wide-open archways every few feet, the wind blows through the goosroom freely, causing papers to swirl about and scatter, some getting completely lost in the wind. This commotion isn’t made any better by the chief goosroom editor, who uses the odd non-membrane wings he has in place of ears to soar through the clouds and land on the wooden floor in front of you.

“Goo willikers! A mighty fine day to you!” He lifts his hat off his head and gives a polite bow. “I’m Archie, chief editor of the goosroom. I heard it through the grapevine that you wanted to take a gander around this here place. Many hands make light work, so if you see something that you’d like to do, you have my full permission to do so. You know what they say: a rising tide raises all ships! Goo goo goo, I’ll let you get to it!”

gooply goo, goos! happy goo year! this month, we have some updates to the job system based on your feedback, so keep reading if that interests you!

increased limit for working goobs
we now allow up to 2 goobies to work at a time, 1 for each available job. once the 3rd job releases, we'll increase the maximum to 3, but at the moment we don't have plans to go higher than that when further jobs release!

monthly rotating job removal
this will take a few days to implement, so bear with us as we update the posts! due to overwhelming feedback regarding confusion about what the monthly job is and how much work is required to complete it, we'll be removing the rotating monthly job. instead, we'll be planning mini-events with lower effort required to give out the rewards, and come up with another way to earn the "Dirt Lover" badge for archeologoo. because the effort to get these rewards will be reduced, everyone who participated in december's monthly rotating job (bingo card) will receive the maximum prize, an archeologoo-themed MYO plus a rare ingredient, in addition to the Dirt Lover badge! we want to thank you for trialing this new system and giving your honest feedback.

upcoming job: agooriculture
has your goobie ever wanted to take care of their own garden? well, now they can! next month, we will be launching our agooriculture job, which allows your goobie to plant a seed, and water it each week. the number of times you water a plant before harvest day determines the quality of your rewards, with small bonus tasks to complete to get catch-up waterings if you miss a week or are late to planting your seed! expect more details as well as the agooriculture npc reveal soon!

Newsgoos Weekly Job: Extra, Extra!

“As newsgoos, we need to have eyes and ears everywhere. You never know when the story of the century might develop! Draw me some art of goobies you think might make a splash in the goomunity. Come back to me by the end of the week with what you’ve drawn, okay? I’ll have it published in Monday’s papers.”

Welcome to your rounds as a newsgoo! Before you begin, make sure you have your goobie signed up to be a newsgoo on the job board! Keep in mind that your goobie can only switch jobs once a month, resetting on the 1st of every month CS time. You can participate in the weekly job once a week! Here are instructions on how to participate in Extra, Extra!:

• Your task is simple: to draw or write about a goobie.
• You can draw or write about any goobie you'd like (including your own!), or an NPC (such as Archie in the Goosroom, Arwen in the Lore Library, or the shop NPCs). If you would like to draw someone else’s goobie, we recommend checking out the goobies linked on the goostorage page.
• Additional submissions past your 1st submission every week will not grant additional rewards!
• At the end of each week, results will be rolled and your goobie will be rewarded based on RNG, and there will be an extra reward based on creativity. Drawing/writing skill is not judged nor is it required!
• The minimum requirement for art is a sketch. The minimum requirement for writing is 100 words. There is no medium restriction, your art may be traditional or digital!
• The goosroom is closed on the CS rollover into Sunday to allow for the results to be rolled. You’ll be able to participate again after the weekly goosletter on Monday.
• Your goobie is able to equip up to 2 equippables related to their job that will increase the chance of obtaining rewards. These equippables are available in the shop, and will be able to be crafted by players in the future.
