name: Onyx
sound: AAAAAAAA moo-flrr
answer: It'll jumpscare ya real good because it sounds like a human woman screaming (loudly) and then the screaming is quickly followed by a casual-sounding 'moo' ending in a horse-like snort. They'll also only make the sound if they know that someone is close-by (in other words, they like to scare others on purpose). After the sound is heard, it's usually followed by a gasp, several bird calls and wings, and even some profanities from spooked wildlife.

name: Crepuscule.
sound: Coo-u'OOO-oʻōʻōʻāʻā hoo-coo.
answer: This litany of softly spoken sounds, an intricate blend between a mourning dove's call and the final song of a kaua'i 'ōʻō, often causes others within their species to question what they had said and/or what it means - to which they refuse to elaborate on.

name: dorian
sound: ooo-oooom ooo-ahl
answer: dorian’s vocals have been a cause for confusion amongst his fellow fables since he adopted much more a dove accent than most. while some have trouble understanding him, all agree his words and calls are quite melodious.

sound: brrr-eeeeee. kikikiki.
answer: first sound (brr-eee) is like a tree creaking, a lower and cracklier noise. the second (kikiki) changes in pitch depending on what emotion they are trying to express. lowest for a question, medium for disagreement, highest for agreement. Not everyone understands these tones, which leads to lots of miscommunication! poor guy

you win, i really like the description of how they communicate. i had a very fun time reading everybody's sounds out loud!
for all, check out the
new nursery, where owners and nonowners can get a fable! you can mark it to be notified when its open
