Name: Enid
Gender: Female
Name Meaning: Means “soul” or “life” in Welsh
Prompt: Enid, when she was alive, lived at a cemetery with her owner at the top of a hill. Her owner was the guard of the cemetery at nights, and in the mornings, he stayed home. Enid always helped him, though, at nights, patrolling the grounds, scaring off grave robbers or anything or anyone that looked suspicious. She did great work and lived a long life. When she died, her owner buried her right there by the house. He grieved for months but still kept up his job, knowing that was what Enid would want.
Enid, though, didn’t go on to heaven like her owner thought; she stayed a ghost. Most people thought when dogs passed, they would play with their other doggy friends in the afterlife, right? Well, Enid much preferred humans, and so she continued to patrol the grounds, making sure everything was in check.
Though, one night on patrol, she heard crying. She ran over to a small and muddy grave, where a small ghost child sat sobbing. Enid walked up, woofing, and licked the girl’s face. The girl giggled and looked up, sniffling as she petted Enid. The girl just talked to her, explaining she was lonely in the cemetery and her family was mostly all still alive as she was so young, around four years of age. Enid just sat and listened.
The next night, Enid went over to the girl, grabbing her hand and bringing her along on her patrol. The girl seemed to understand, following her. They became great friends, playing and patrolling together every night. After a few years, more kids joined them—little girls, little boys, even a few babies that were carried by the slightly older kids. Enid took protecting them with great pride, licking their tears when they were sad, snuggling them when it was a particularly cold night, and making sure they never got lonely. And of course, she always brought them on patrol.
Her owner still did his job, but she could tell he could feel her presence some nights as he would smile and look down at her, saying, “Still keeping the grounds safe, old girl?” She would bark every time, even though he couldn't hear it; he would just smile and nod, moving on.
Enid never thought that she would be a mom, albeit to ghost children, but it was greater than anything she could have hoped for.

Name: Possession
Gender: female
Name Meaning: possession as in having or owning an item, and the state of being controlled by a spirit
Prompt: possession was always the hottest thing on the block every halloween.

she would be brought along to the neighborhood park, and she, as gentle and patient as it was possible for a being to be, would let every curious child and surprised adult run their hands through her unconventional coat. they didn't have to know it was how she looked every day of the year, did they?

one crisp-aired, fantastically frightening hallow's eve, her owner, an excitable, bright-eyed kid, lost their favorite stuffed animal while they were enjoying the night. the kid and their parents went back the way they came, searched all around, and still turned up with nothing. at the end of the night, when all hope seemed lost and the lights on the houses started going off, possession stuck her head straight up and began to tug at her leash. just a minute later, lo and behold, she fished out the child's toy from under a playground slide.

after her passing, it turned out she was to stay on earth. possession was unsure of this at first, didn't know what was in store for her. what her purpose would be. then, not long after, her nose started taking her places. she began to turn up rocks and carpets, jump into ditches and trash cans and plant pots, find her way under benches and cars and, miraculously, climb trees. she found phones, jewelry, toys, jackets, shoes, socks, pens, wedding rings, car keys, envelopes and money—you think it, she'd found it. all of these items were dutifully returned to their rightful owners, showing up randomly on counters and desks, by sinks and inside pockets, as if they'd never left. possession's newfound task actually turned out to be quite fulfilling; if her tail wagged when she stayed to watch the owner reunite with their missing item, that was truly nobody's business.

people all around the world hardly think about how these mementos return to them, only feel their hearts sink in relief. still, if they're ever searching for someone to thank for their fortune... possession is who to turn to.

Name: Requiem
Gender: Male
Name Meaning: A Mass for the repose of the souls of the dead.
Prompt:

If Requiem were to come back as a ghost, he would be sure to watch over his loved ones. He would be their guide, and try his best to keep them on the right path as well as safe and away from harm. In their dreams, he would greet them. Providing reassurance that he is at peace and always there. Requiem would be their intuition, the gut feeling to tell them if they should or shouldn't do something.

During his living years, family always came first for Requiem. That value has followed him into the afterlife and now his sole purpose is to offer direction to his beloved in any way he is able to. Whether it is a rainbow painted across the sky on a sad and dreary day, or a delicate butterfly as a reminder to his family that they are not alone. He will flash a nostalgic childhood memory into their thoughts to give them a smile, or a familiar scent that reminds them of him. Requiem will send symbolic messages to lift their spirits.

Name: Polar North's Mooncrest Cemetery // Graves
Gender: Male
Name Meaning: [optional]
Prompt: Graves would watch over the farm and the handlers who treated him so kindly, he would play with the animals and keep them company, steer them and the farmhands away from danger and protect those who needed it until help could arrive. In life, he is a super protective, yet calm and collected collie who looks out for those around him- even if they don't usually get along. He would also enjoy following his own handler around, especially to her car as he loves car rides around the ranch more than anything, he also might make his favorite ball appear to move or roll on it's own. He would frequently appear in nightmares or bad dreams too, to gently wake others up to the real world and fend off the darkness and fright. It's no wonder why everyone calls him a good boy!

Name: Rathskeller
Gender: male
Name Meaning: n/a
Prompt: Rathskeller always preferred to be alone in life, and as such would also wander alone (mostly) afterward as well. He would take up the mantle of guardian of all the passed collies on the ranch. Something of a grim reaper but in gentler terms. He is strict in that none would haunt or frighten any of the collies in the living world, but is pretty lax when it comes to sneaking up on the humans every now and then. He would mostly keep to the forest but if any collies sought out advice or were struggling in the living world he would appear to them and offer it. He is especially fond in guiding the older parents ghosts/souls to visit their pups in the months following their passing until they can each move on.

Name: LoK Sleeping My Deepest Sleep I Mort
Gender: Female
Name Meaning: Play with dead
Prompt:
Mort is a very simple Collie. As any new Ghost, he'd have to go through the usual registration progress of the Ghost Type he wants to be. Now, Mort is, again, a bit simple. He first got in the wrong line for being a Poltergeist, then he hadn't done his Ghost ID yet. After waiting an eternity in line for the ID, literally not figurativley, he had to take 20 Photos because he could just not get the right Level of transparency in the Photos. Sometimes he was too solid, than he was too transparent.
One Photograph quit his job over Morts ID Photos! He now haunts a Butcher Shop. More relaxing and fun, he says.
Even the Photo submitted was still not right, which of course cause more problems down the line as nobody quite knew if he was now a Ghost or a Ghoul.

When he got back in line to be a Poltergeist he remembered mid through the waiting that he had forgotten to file on document B 42. Luckily, they now have these fancy displays which remind you to check for them in the ghost Type application Office. So off he went to ask around where one jobless ghost could aquire this said document.
After a bit of searching and getting distracted by the ghost of a young dog, Mort was back in line. This time, for the final time.

Everybodys hopes were destroyed when his application was rejected for several typo reasons plus an expired ghost ID. Had it really been already 10 eternitys, my god!
Mort decided that this was his final try with Poltergeist, he now aspired to become a specter. Much more quiet life and a much shorter line.
WELL.... of course he had to take a new photo for his new ID and just 2 eternitys after he was in line for the Specter Application Process and the Photographer in the Butcher Shop now has a new Buddy.
Curious how both of them got their approvals as Haunting Ghosts much faster than Mort even moved one forward in the line.

His attempt to become a Specter was unsuccessfull as well as he had failed to attend some classes he needed to do before the application. Morts claim nobody told him before were quickly shut down when he was advised to look at the new, fancy displays.
At this point, Mort had nearly spend all his eternitys waiting for his approval and was about to be released from Ghost Dutys.
Management got aware and decided to step in. There is no way, Rest in Peace Department would become a laughingstock over releasing a Ghost who had never ghosted anybody from it's Line of Duty.
After taking a long look into the case, RIP Department decided that Mort is a very special case and he got awarded a job.
It's a very rare, unique Job and only three other Ghosts had the honour to work this job before as only the most skilled will be able to work it.

Mort doesn't really understand his new job. All he has to do is go and take pictures for a new ID, wait in line or fail an application. So, basically what he had down before when he was still a jobless ghost.
Nevertheless, he wears his Badge with pride.
It reads:
"RIP Department Approved Haunting
Specialised in Haunting of the Already Dead
Region of work: Ghost Application Office
Signed: Head of Managment RIP Department
Jeremiah G. Headless"

(tl;dr: He officially haunts the Ghosts now)

    Username: paradise,
Name: Candle Casting a Faint Glow | Cirice
    Gender: Male
    Name Meaning:
Cirice is a noun used in folklore and mythology, particularly in Scandinavian folklore, to refer to a type of malignant spirit or supernatural being. It is often depicted as an evil creature or monster, associated with darkness, danger, and malevolence.
    Prompt:
If Cirice was a ghost, he would neither be good or bad, per say. His vessel would be empty, an inhabited void with little to no emotion. Some would call him a wanderer, a lost soul lingering in the darkness of the night, while others may feel uneasy by his presence. Cirice might emanate a malevolent aura, but he is not truly evil. Misunderstood, perhaps, but not evil. He would attach himself to different living creatures, allowing him to travel around and not be stuck in one place for very long. Then, when he would grow restless, he would find another to travel with. Those that could sense his presence may feel scared or at peace, depending on their demeanor and individual personalities. He would never intentionally haunt someone though, nor would he ever try to bring another peace and comfort. He just exists, nor here or there, but everywhere and nowhere all at one.

Note: His story/name is inspired by this song, Cirice by Ghost, if you wanted to listen to it!
