weehaw another gen down!! why i decided to do TWO of these AT THE SAME TIME i have no idea. why did i think that would work. genuinely, what was i thinking.
anywhoodle sorry for the wait! i hope you like the pups tho! these are for boolif! : D boolif gets to pick one to keep for free, then the other two will stay with me until the challenge ends at which point they will likely be sold off or OTA'd! :3 I will flip a coin to determine which of the two remaining pups goes onto the next and final rung of the challenge (thank goodness for that!) which has already been preclaimed by ikaroony.
onto the pup breakdowns! might be short because your boy is eepy

- pup 1 - left - lil monster
this pup features a mix of colors from both parent A and parent B, notably the purple colors from A's base and the darker blues from B's base. i made a marking base with B's light and dark areas, starting with the head as the lightest point and the paws/tail tip as the darkest, but instead of spotting them out like B's faux-gradient i blended them with the watercolor tool to better match the style of parent A's markings. I did however add some speckled spots flecking off of the different 'color block' zones to add a little visual intrigue and to tie B's markings in a little more! i used the light blue from B's palette as a contrast and accent color because DANG look at how that looks with the light purple and the navy, isn't that just CRISP?? for edits this pup got-- from parent A, their sleek/slender muzzle, pointed ears, small head fluff, slitted eyes, fangs, back mane/fur, bulky paws/forelegs and big claws, then from parent B they got their horns, head wings, body wings, tail w/ tuft, and tail spikes. their dark sclera were a mutation because i thought it looked cool. i was originally planning on having the big claws be light blue like the horns, but i honestly really like them just dark navy like the paws... the owner is welcome to change it if they'd like! (maybe this pup paints their claws? cx)
pup 2 - middle - neon demon
this pup gets their colors from blending the middle colors of both parents, resulting in this neat purple-tinted blue color! for this one I did a marking base like pup 1, but instead of smoothing it out with watercolor i used a faux gradient of spots like parent B-- over top of that i added spotty markings like parent A, but in darker colors (so that the face remains the lightest part of the design, maintaining some of parent B's light-dark values), and i think it created a cool visual! notably, instead of smoothing these marks with gradient like A, I spotted them out too to mix in parent B's marking style. I added some little tiny sparkles to the design too, to match with B's little starry marks, and for visual intrigue i added B's magenta as an accent here-- since it is a major accent on B's design and it felt wrong to not represent it somewhere in the pups. for edits they got-- from parent A, their antlers (can you tell i suck at drawing antlers?? xD), their back fur/mane, their big claws, their slitted eyes, their fangs, and their long fluffy tail (you're welcome to have it longer, i just didn't have enough canvas room to draw it). from B they get-- their dragon nose, their head fluff, their ear wings, their lack of ears (just ear wings) and their back wings.
pup 3 - right - rainy day
this pup is mostly the light colors from parent B, used to match parent A's color palette more-- this pup maintains A's marking style with the spots with watercolor blending, but also incorporates some darker areas and some blue stars and speckles, as well as B's face markings and the colored stripe motif from B's design. this pup gets edit wise-- parent A's narrow muzzle, slitted pupils, small head fluff, their big paws, and the fluff on their legs. from parent A they got their ear wings, their back mane, their chest fluff, their dragon nose, and their tail style. their horns are meant to be a mix of both parents (two pairs like parent B, but with pronds like parent A's antlers) and their tail is also meant to be a mix (parent A's tail length with parent B's tail style)-- their paws are also meant to be a mix since they are larger like parent A, but without the claws like parent B. I included the pastel lavender colors from parent A as their accent color, as well as the pale blue from parent B. I think this pup turned otu so fun. < 3
additionally, as a note i forgot to add halos, whoops! i meant to add them over top but you're welcome to add them if you'd like!! (maybe all the pups can manifest an optional halo??) i was going to add them once i finished up but, as i said, i am tired. Y v Y maybe i should've put these down until i was more well rested but i REALLY wanted to make progress on them because i feel so bad for them being so delayed T v T i hope you like them anyways aaaa
