Jim all quiet like had found himself making his way to the pumpkin patch in hopes that he would be able to find the perfect one for him. As he approached, he had accidentally made eye contact with the one who appeared to be running the pumpkin patch, who was bustling with energy compared to him. Once Jim caught her eye, she bounded over to greet him, pleasantly reciting her introduction, as he was sure she did with every visitor that came by. "Well hello, visitor! I'm Adrienne! Welcome to my pumpkin patch! You arrived just in time because, boy, do I have a lot of pumpkins to give away!" Jim's eyes were quick to dart to the ground and his head lowered slightly as he himself uttered a small "Hello, I'm Jim..."
He was just hoping that he would be able to pick out his pumpkin and go about the rest of his day, but Adrienne had other plans. "While I pick one out for you, do you mind telling me a little more about yourself? And what brings you to my patch, anyway?"
A noise that could only be described as an intimidated 'whine' of sorts could be heard coming from Jim after she had asked him to tell her about himself. Poor Jim didn't mean for it to be as rude as it was, he was just very introverted. Interactions and attention on him caused him to hide himself in his metophorical turtle shell that he carried on his back.
"I'm sorry..." Jim whispered, his eyes slightly looking up into Adrienne's for a brief second. "M-My name is Jim..." He said after a moment of silence after his apology to Adrienne. "I-I'm not the most... outgoing person you'll come across. I really just tend to keep to myself. I don't like being in the spotlight and- I don't have many friends, talking to people can be scary sometimes..." Jim admitted, a frown quickly beginning to form on his face.
"But I wanted to come to the Fall Festival! I quite like looking at the different booths!" Jim said suddenly in confidence, trying to explain that he did try to get outside to do things when he could. Even if it wasn't often. "I actually quite like fall... It's my favorite season... I like all the colorful leaves... and all the fall foods... and well, I like carving pumpkins. I actually think I'm quite good at it too." He added on the side. While he thought he was good at carving designs into pumpkins, he couldn't speak on anyone else's behalf as he had hardly showed others his work.
"A-Actually... perhaps y-you'd like to see some examples?" Jim could feel all the anxieties that were festering within him to slowly disappear as he began to talk more on his special interest in carving pumpkins. He was quick to pull out his phone, assuming that Adrienne was going to say yes, and began to scroll through his entire gallery to find the different pumpkins he had carved during the past.
One he had shown was a whole frog carved into a pumpkin, meanwhile others were of popular media characters, and the rest were simply ideas that he had in his head that he brought to life onto the pumkin. A complete free for all, if you will.
"S-so yeah... that's me!" Jim ended off with a weak smile as he finally made eye contact with Adrienne for the first time since he wandered into the pumpkin patch. It was obvious that for a short while, being able to talk to someone about his interest brought him out of that metophorical turtle shell a little bit. And hopefully Adrienne had enough information for him to be able to pick out the perfect pumpkin for him.
