Sign up for Hazel! It was supposed to be a simple delivery errand. Just go deliver the pumpkins, try not to stick foot in mouth while dealing with customers, and return home. After all, their pumpkin for this year's pumpkin chuckin' competition was almost ready! She needed to ensure it was tucked in, getting only the best music played to it, and was suitably cozy. Instead... somehow along the way back to her car things had gone sideways. She was lost. That had never happened to her before. Sure she could be a ditz sometimes but losing her way back to the car? That would be a bit much even for her! And yet... here she was.
Wait, how did she end up in the woods anyways? What was her Ma's old saying? Had she zigged instead of zagged? Either way she did not know this area... and it smelled like- yep there it was. Rain. Cruuuud. Her parents would KILL her if she caught a cold out here! But where could she go? As she debated this she paused, seeing the white and yellow. Well that was creepy. And yet what choices did she have? The woods were going to be a LOT less hospitable in the rain. And if she did catch a cold she would miss the whole festival!
With this reasoning, Hazel followed into the Estate. She found herself pausing as the creature stared at her, managing an awkward wave. "Oh uh hey, thanks for showing me shel...ter..." She trailed off awkwardly as they were gone again, exhaling out a sigh. "Ya gotta quit vanishin' like that, you're gonna give someone the heebie jeebies and-" Her ears twitched then, hearing crying sounds deeper in. Instinct told her don't dare go in further, but empathy tugged harder and she walked closer towards the crying sounds.
"Hey... I don't know who ya are but ya ain't alone okay? Would it... would it help to talk to someone? I mean, sorry for bargin' in but... might as well lend a helpful ear while I'm here eh? Or a hand or... whatever you need!" (350)
