Hatchery Rules:

1.) The hatchery will only ever open if an artist makes an announcement. Any other time, consider it closed! Do not post here if an artist has not opened applications. Any questions or concerns, please message me either here on CS or through the server Discord.

2.) You must have an updated coop to apply for an opening. Chimkin hens and roosters have limited breeding slots and each and every one of them must be updated when used before attempting to fill out of a form here. If this is not done, you will be skipped.

3.) If you have permission to use someone else's hen or rooster in a breeding, proof must be linked (ie; screenshot) confirming so.

4.) Artists will choose which forms and pairs they prefer, they are not obligated to choose yours. If you're repeatedly skipped, try another pair! Some Chimkin designs can be a little overwhelming and the artist may not feel comfortable tackling them at the time.

5.) Breeding openings will not always be a FCFS (first-come-first-serve) basis. The artist will state if they are doing FCFS openings or will choose from the list of people entering.

Hatchery Info:

All nests will be held off-site on a Weebly page, updated by myself. This is to avoid crowding the Oekaki with images of eggs or tiny little chicks, no matter how cute they may be. All fully aged chicks will be posted under the main adopt page, so keep an eye out over there when your chicks are due to grow!

Within 24 hours of an accepted form, a nest will be made. It takes two (2) days for the eggs to hatch into quarter-sized chicks, and an additional one week (7 days) to age into an adult.

Breedings are strickly rooster x hen. This species is highly unrealistic, however this is a strict rule that will not change. Your Chimkins and their personalities and lore are yours to do with as you please! If your roo is in a canonical relationship with another roo, that's perfectly fine!

Standard Chimkins are the only type that will consistently lay two little speckled eggs. Fancies typically lay a single egg, with a small (20%) chance for a second when paired to a Standard. Easters will only ever lay one egg. Hearty Grains (found in the Stock 'n Shop, during events or Discord raffles) will increase a clutch size by 1 for any type.

Standard chicks have a 10% chance to hatch as a rooster. Fancies have an even smaller chance, at around 5%. Easters will never hatch male. A Rooster Pill will guarantee a single chick hatches into a roo, regardless of type.
