Their favorite insect + why: They have two which is the luna moth and monarch butterfly. They love the long tails of the wings on the luna moth and how it shines in the sun as a light green memorizing themselves. They also love the monarch as they have been hatching, feeding, releasing them, and watch the monarch grow from the tiny egg to a beautiful butterfly every spring/summer. They even went as far to learn about everything they do and where they would travel for winter and fall.

Their favourite insect + why: Anna has always been fascinated by the Hummingbird Hawkmoth. Their colors may seem a bit dull to some, but if you look closely you can see bright orange popping out on their wings. She is so intrigued by how much they can resemble a hummingbird at first glance... The particular way they use their wings to hover just like a hummingbird does. They even have a "fan" at the end of their body almost mimicking a birds tail feathers. Though most people who have gardens don't care for their caterpillar counterpart (tomato hornworm), Anna loves hand raising them and releasing them into her very insect friendly garden once they emerge from their pupae as hummingbird months.
