Rainbow Freeze Fruit Cubes

For this recipe you can use any type of fruit, though his favorite rainbow cube is a mix of dragon fruit, blueberry, mango and pineapple so that is the recipe we'll be working with today.

Image

Necessary Ingredients and tools

Ingredients
1 dragon fruit
2 cup blueberries
1 cup mango
1 cup pineapple
Tools
Blender with puree option
A mold of some sort
Access to a freezer
Feeding dish

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Assure you have all ingredients and necessary tools
Step 2: Wash and prep your fruits
Step 3: Use the blender to puree the fruits individually, sorting them into 4 separate bowls as you go. Make sure to rinse the blender between purees to avoid cross-contamination in the coloring (you want it pretty!)
Step 4: Pour the pureed mango into the mold, place in freezer for 10 minutes.
Step 5: Check the freezer mango. If liquid and mushy, repeat step 4. If solid, pour 1 cup worth of pureed blueberry on top, place back in freezer for another 10 minutes.
Step 6: Check the cube. If liquid and mushy, repeat step 4. If Solid, pour the pureed dragon fruit on top of the blueberry layer, place back in freezer for 10 minutes.
Step 7: Check the freezer cube. If liquid and mushy, repeat step 4. If solid, pour the remaining blueberry puree on top, place back in the freezer for another 10 minutes. You're almost there!
Step 8: Check the cube. If liquid and mushy, repeat step 4. If solid, pour the pureed pineapple on top, place back in freezer for 10 minutes.
Step 9: Check the cube! If the top layer isn't solid, leave it in for another 10 minutes. If it is, congratulations! You made a rainbow cube!
Step 10: Remove rainbow cube from the mold and place in a large equine feeding dish; that way when it melts your gallingale will have a nice fruit smoothie. Or you can rinse the bowl. No ants! Place out in the pasture and watch your gallingale have themselves a nice summer treat!

He has a sweet tooth for roulades.
This recipe has been tweaked from its original to more of his liking.
Theo likes it best with blackberries, raspberries, or strawberries. Using all three is even better.

These are the changes:
Meringue:
  • 6 egg whites
  • 250g icing sugar
  • 2 tbs corn starch
Bake at 300F 20 minutes.

Cream Filling:
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 200g plain greek yogurt
  • 60g icing sugar
  • 200ml whipping cream
Berry Jam:
  • 200g berry
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 tbs corn starch
  • 50g water
Refrigerate before devouring!

Galingale Name: Shoi-Ming.

A recipe for Jiaozi:
Ingredients:
    -Three cups of all-purpose flour.
    -One-fourth teaspoon of salt.
-One and one-fourth cups of cold water.
    -One pound of ground pork.
    -One tablespoon of soy sauce.
    -One teaspoon of kosher salt.
    -One tablespoon of rice wine.
-One-fourth teaspoon of ground white pepper.
    -Three tablespoons of sesame oil.
-One and one-half cups of shredded cabbage.
    -One tablespoon of minced ginger.
    -One clove garlic, minced.

I - The Dough
In a bowl, mix three cups of all-purpose flour with one-fourth teaspoon of salt, slowly stirring in one and one-fourth cup of water. Once the mixture culimates into a smooth, doughy texture, place the dough upon a flat surface and knead it into a ball. Cover the dough with a dry towel and let it rest for at least thirty minutes thereafter.
II - Filling
While the dough is resting, place one pound of ground pork in a bowl. Add one tablespoon of soy sauce, one teaspoon kosher salt, one tablespoon of rice wine, and one-fourth teaspoon of ground white pepper. Stir in only one direction.
Add in three tablespoons sesame oil, one and one-half cups of shredded cabbage, one tablespoon minced ginger, and one clove garlic, minced. Mix the ingredients well, stirring in the same direction as before until the mixture gains a sticky consistency.
III - Forming
Knead the dough once more as a means to ensure easier handling. Divide the dough into roughly sixty pieces, then roll each piece out into a circle about three inches in diameter, flouring the surface as needed.
Place a small portion of the filling, preferably one level tablespoon, into the middle of the dough circles, wetting the edges prior to gently lifting them over the filling and bringing it together at the top center. Crimp the edges of the dough several times to seal the dumpling. Repeat with the remaining dough circles.
IV - Cooking
Upon finishing the formation of the dumplings, bring a large pot of water, the amount doesn't matter, to a boil. Add half of the dumplings to the water once and occasionally stir them. Once the water returns to a boil, add one-half cup of cold water and cover the pot. Repeat this step one more time. Allow the water to come to a boil thereafter.
By then, the dumplings should be completely cooked - remove them from the pot and drain the access water upon discerning such.
If desired, they can be pan-fried with three tablespoons of sesame oil. Elsewise, plate and serve them.
V - Saving
Rest the dumplings atop a baking sheet and place them in the freezer for roughly an hour, or until frozen through. Transfer frozen dumplings to a container and use within three months.
