As is her nature, she often found herself wrapped up in the protection and guidance of her foals, watching them closely while also tending to numerous villages and forests in need of care.
Unfortunately her willingness to sacrifice anything she had for the safety of those she loves, she found herself at a desperate struggle in a battle against a terribly dark and evil entity that spread across her lands - threatening the end of the world she grew.
In a last effort, she conjured up all the strength and power she possessed to fully absorb the entity into her body, trapping the evil within her scales. This resulted in the permanent change to her elemental powers which left her mind and spirit completely tainted. Rheia now carries the weight of the world on her back, knowledgeable to all the worlds evil and cruelty, in constant paranoia of what could become. She keeps herself distant from the world, afraid of what her powers could do.
