2024 Summer Event: Pet, Item & Event Discussion

Super interested in the plot line so far and what everyone thinks of it!

My memory isn't great so I could also use some reminders about the past dialogues (and please lmk if theres an archive of them somewhere that I'm missing)

I did a random poll of myself and 4 other people I know who play Chicken Smoothie.

Between the 5 of us, we played a total of 121 times. The results are:

11 perfect games (5/5 knocked down).
Prizes= 6 rootbeer cup pets, 5 rootbeer dogs

110 less than 5 knockdowns.
Prizes= 33 bottles, 37 floats, 40 cups.

Not a huge sample, but it looks like there is about a 10% chance of getting a pet instead of a token.

You know what, combining this with everything I've seen and what other people have said, I believe you're exactly right.

The shooting game isn't actually a game, it's just like clicking a banner, but with extra steps (clicks). So when you click 'play game' it has already decided whether you will get a pet or a token, and if it decided on a pet, then (if you shoot) you will knock 5 down. If it decided on a token, you will knock whatever random number 0-4 it decided you will knock down. Aim has nothing to do with it (so long as you actually *click* on the can/bottle), skill/timing has nothing to do with it. If you click away/outside the box and accidentally end the 'game' early, if it would've been a pet, you still get the pet. That's how I got my two pets (both on 0/5 games where they were 0/5 because I clicked outside/a different window before knocking anything down, thus ending the 'game' early).

As for chances... my personal pet-to-token ratio at the root-beer pile is 4%. But that's how my luck always goes. xD

Me too. I would have loved to see more cactirats as well.

I had suspected that you get your prize right away when clicking 'play' and actually already have it while shooting the bottles. I was able to confirm that with my last play on it. Had clicked 'play' on the shooting game, then opened a new tab to my pet groups and I had gotten a pet from the game. I then went back to the tab with the game still open and got a 5/5 and the popup saying I got a pet. So it is awarded right away and the game is just a fun added visual ^^

Aw thank you! I struggled a lot to make the edits work at first(specially because I spent two weeks with an injured hand) so it's nice to see people enjoy them.

For those wondering, I mostly made them as four generic wild boar/pig hybrids... and one imposter, lol.

It’s honestly interesting to learn that the pigs/peccary were a struggle considering how well they turned out. Your designs always leave me with a sense of life when looking at the pets; I think it’s your ability to color them in a way that gives the lines more dimension. Due to that characteristic, I’m not at all surprised that these are yours. The roundness of every part of these fellas really sells their “pig-ness” :D
