Dragon Name: Skye (ofc)
Gender: Male
Colony: StoragePrompt: Skye's vision lazed across the clouds slowly crossing the horizon above him, his head resting upon crossed paws, his ears focused on the bubbling of a stream nearby. Today had been as uneventful as ever, upon his favored perch. Due to where he sat and the colors upon his scales, he was nearly invisible from the ground-eye view. Unlike most of his brethren, Skye was not suited for the forest and learned from a young age how easy he was to spot in the dense green foliage. Instead, many of his days are spent here, atop the
cliff-face his clan members were too afraid to traverse, watching the sky, feeling the breeze, and fending off the few birds brave enough to taunt a dragonfruit.
He sighed in contentment, his 'good' eye watching a turtle-shaped cloud stroll on by, crawling over the orange and purple sunset with an ease Skye envied. His other eye was busy as well. While his clan believed him to be blind, and in the traditional sense, he is, Skye could see things with his 'bad' eye that none of the others could. He often saw creatures resembling horses with odd, pointy horns upon their heads roaming the forest below. No one else saw them or paid them any mind despite the forest growing quiet in their presence. As the last of the sun's rays dipped into obscurity, Skye closed his good eye and waited. Before long, he spotted a rather large one passing through the trees like a ghost, not truly touching anything, yet bringing a cool and calming breeze with it. HIs good eye snapped open as the creature whipped its large head around, gazing directly at him with an interested and slightly amused smile playing on its muzzle. Eyes wide, he sat up, noting only four of its five eyes blinking up at him before it turned and continued on its way, eventually settling in a clearing on the western side of the Isle, its body camouflaging into a hill with a glorious tree atop its center.
Skye stayed like this for some time, quietly observing a large fox with both eyes, its body glowing slightly in the view of his right yet looking perfectly average in the left. Under a sky of sparkling lights, he watched it bound around the now immobile
creature disguised as a hill, frolicking as if it had no care in the world. Skye's eyes drooped lower and lower before finally settling on closed, his dreams filled with stars, glowing creatures, and walking trees.
. . . Uh, I hope I managed to answer the prompt well enough because I kind of went off the rails with this one. xD
