Prompt 1 [180 words]
I was having a lot of fun playing all the games at the carnival. While I was not having much luck at actually winning any of them, it was an entertaining experience nonetheless! I had just finished playing darts when I noticed a corral nearby with several horses inside, all of them covered in mud. I was rather curious and approached the corral, and soon learned from the people working there that these were wild horses and that anyone who wanted to could try to befriend and train them. I decided to give it a try, and was led over to one of the horses, the one residing in pen number 14. Though he was so covered in mud and dirt that I could not tell much about him yet, this was of no concern to me. I smiled and greeted the horse in a calm, quiet tone, and he stared back at me with uncertainty but not dislike. I was sure that in time, we would become friends, and I was determined to prove myself worthy of his friendship.

Prompt 2 [236 words]
Much as I had expected, earning the stallion's trust took some time. I made sure to set aside an hour or so each day while I was at the carnival to visit him at the corral. During this time, I would just stand outside his pen, helping him get used to my presence and occasionally speaking to him quietly. Of course, I also made sure to bring along some treats for him each time. As the days passed, he seemed to get more and more comfortable with me being around. One day, he even seemed to perk up a bit when he saw me coming; though this may have just been out of anticipation for the treats, it was still an exciting moment for me. When it became clear the stallion was used to me, I was allowed to bring a halter with me during my daily visit. I held the halter up for him to examine and waited patiently until he seemed comfortable with it, making sure to give him some treats as well. I repeated this for a couple of days until it seemed like he would be alright with trying the halter on. Then, I carefully put the halter on him, watching to make sure he didn't mind. Fortunately, he handled it well, seeming quite calm throughout the process. I gave him some more treats afterwards, happy that things were going so well.

Prompt 3 [197 words]
Now that the stallion seemed comfortable enough around me, I was allowed to bring him back to my stables to clean him up and continue training him. I let him take a few days to get used to the stables first, of course; I did not want him to be unhappy here, so I continued to be patient with him and help him get used to his new home. Once he seemed ready, I gathered my supplies and carefully began washing the dirt and mud off of him. Fortunately, he did not appear to mind and soon he was all cleaned up.
The next thing I decided to work on with him was helping him get used to a saddle. I was not sure how he would react to that, but to my surprise he seemed quite calm when I brought a saddle over for him to examine. I let him take a few days to get used to seeing it before I attempted to put the saddle on him, and I was happy to see he had no problems with it. I continued to train him, and as time went on, our friendship only grew stronger.
