townfolk shut their doors when blizzards approach, pile their furniture up against the doors, blow out the candles. and even so, the white snow will blossom red without fail- and the bloodstained duchess will dissipate as quickly as she'd arrived.

myths are make-believe and ghosts can't hurt you. but no royal guard could prevent the terror that spread like wildfire at her wrathful descent
and the ruler of kvarken would watch her from their castle, expressionless. they'd been promised peace, eternal rest, and a way out of this cycle of reincarnation should they make kvarken a perfect kingdom at last.
but 'perfection' does not bleed terror at its core.
and 'terror' was the dragoness in the storm

I'm still shocked that this was the most popular design of the four, but it makes me happy that you guys enjoyed it so much, and gave me plenty of great entries to look at as well.

I absolutely adored all the character concepts you guys came up with and hope you all continue to engage in art like this, but I can only choose one winner, so... congrats freybugg! I was enraptured by the vibe you had going with your playlist and how you maintained it from beginning to end, getting in those little details of the character you have in mind with the lyrics.
