Hello there.

Right now we update them when we have some spare time, or when your cats get into an oopsie and gain a serious injury haha. Then their injury also grants the a facelift.

That will also mean that we're currently not accepting new founder slots for now as well.

I use RafflePro to decide things. Maybe you could do that to decide encounters and such? ☺️

Perhaps some more staff will lighten the load? Patrols can even be rolled once or twice a week?

Definitely less patrols. Patrols take up a majority of cats made and I see that there’s a lot of cats rolled during them
Less patrols and maybe lower the rate even more to get a cat. Maybe lessen the chance by half? Either or could limit the amount of cats gained.

Personally I am not for reducing cats gained cuz it's not too often. However, the scars I find happen rather often.
Yes, I would reduce the number of patrols drastically, daily entries for any kind of event, be it patrols, horse activities, or dog shows always proved in many species to just be too taxing on the staff team in the long run and can bring potential ruin to a species aka break their neck. It takes the fun away cuz it starts to feel like and ultimately becomes a burden in the end.
I would either do it weekly, which still can be a rather short time to get everything done on the queue list, bi-weekly, or even just once a month. While it may seem sad at first for the community, it's way healthier for you guys, the admins, moderators, and other staff members.
You don't have to force yourselves to complete different things in a quick manner cause you feel like time is running out and have enough time to, well, take your time quite literally at your own pace and manage to also tend to diverse other, non-SGU related stuff.
In the meantime, tasks/quests/missions/events like the star-cat one right now could be set up to complete for the members who do want to do something than just wait around and give others maybe a nudge to work on their character/world-building and lore aspects of their group/tribe/clan for those who are interested/willed. Maybe not always offer a cat as a reward, tho, or else you'll end up with the same full queue. Frankly, not every task needs a reward since improving your own understanding/creativity for your group should be a self-satisfaction thingy in itself. X3
