Luca has a sea turtle friend he has named Lenny. Luca met Lenny when he was just a hatchling making his way to the sea for the first time. After that first encounter, Luca would visit him everyday. One day, when a storm was rolling in, Luca got swept out further to sea than he realized when surfing and he was suddenly lost. But along came little Lenny, who guided Luca back to the shoreline before the storm hit. They have been the best of friends ever since.

Or some kind of whale or something huge and intimidating, something cool. Now though, Genesis finds himself attached to his little goldfish friend, the one he had to study during class. piece: CJ would have a whale shark friend! He's drawn to them because they are also blue and have very busy patterning all over them, just like he does. He would swim with his friend, a shark called O (he named the shark after the shape its mouth makes), and enjoy the open oceans together. He'd feel safe with O, who, while giant, is a very calm creature. And since other creatures don't mess with whale sharks, they won't mess with CJ while O is around either. O would like CJ well enough-- probably because the chicoon would bring them food and visit frequently.

piece: Wake would want a narwhal companion! It's his favorite ocean animal after all! They'd be a perfect companion to swim around with in the chilly waters of the arctic, and their horn would help keep them safe! However, he would not be able to bring this friend with him on ocean floor mapping expeditions in warmer climates, so perhaps he has a second companion too in the form of an octopus. Their intelligence and ability to squeeze into extremely narrow spaces would certainly help. Plus, their ink can hide them from danger!
