> PROMPT | Max was definitely curious about where the teacher had been the last few days, but he wasn't about to pry. So the rainbow Chicoon sat down at a desk to decide what to do and think about what parts he wanted to research. He didn't have a computer with him, so his best bet for studying was probably going to be the computers in the next room. Mulch had said to stay in the building, and Max was going to heed that. But what parts should he look up?

The Chicoon thought about all of the random pieces that they'd been given to use on their prior robots in the class. Perhaps he could look into the various applications of them? He had just applied the parts to his robots in whatever way had seemed to suit him in the moment, but he was sure there had to be other ways to use them that he hadn't thought of. He took out his notebook and a pencil and wrote down all of the parts he'd used so far. Wheels. TV antenna. Googly eyes. Lights. Controller. Spikes. With his list at the ready, Max headed over to the next room so he could start his research.

Many of the computers in the other room were already taken. Max found one in the back that was still free, so he plopped down in the chair and placed his notebook next to him with the pencil on top so he'd be able to take notes as he went. He clicked on the little Internet icon and pulled up his favorite web search and got to work. The rainbow Chicoon quickly took a nose dive into looking at Wikipedia pages, Youtube videos, various tutorials, robot competitions, and whatever else caught his fancy that was in some way related to robots.

Several hours later, Max had a good chunk of notes scribbled into his notebook. Not all of what he'd written had related to the list he'd made earlier, but it did all pertain to numerous parts that were often used in robots that Max had yet to encounter. He was quite excited about what he'd discovered and hoped that he would get the chance to put his new knowledge to the test in future classes. The Chicoon hadn't realized how much fun he was going to have in this class, but it was awesome! [400 words]

> PROMPT | Alright. Parts; should be easy enough! ....what does a robot need? Time to run over to the computer lab and look up some ideas! Once I've secured a seat, I crack my knuckles and get to work- fingers typing at LIGHTNING speed. "What does a robot need?", "Easy robot ideas on a budget", "Can you power a robot with a can of beans?", the list goes on and on of my endless research. I find a couple amateur robot forums to help spark up some ideas.. as well as a look through the recycling for any scrap metals or materials. After a lot of caffeine, a couple scraps (and scrapes), and near brain-fry, I've found an idea! Tin-can roller robots! Perfect!

Maybe she should not have signed up for a class that she knew would challenge her. Arsenic stood up and went to the computer lab. It seemed like she was going to have to teach herself the basics. She pulled up Google and typed, “robotics for dummies”, and began to read the page.
