Fossil went to the computers to research electronic and mechanical components for his robot spider, it was mostly functional, but the movements were all weird and the thing couldn't walk in a straight line, or barely walk forward at all... he wasn't sure what he messed up, but he really wanted to fix it. He searched up tutorials and concepts sketches, but didn't find anything useful. he kept browsing and just started clicking random articals until he ended going down a useless rabbit hole of robot stories where he ended up on a story on a viral video of a kitten being scared of a robo snake toy.

> PROMPT | lime logged onto the computer, taking another peek at his rough, and quite confusing at this point, plan. multiple different pen colors filled the paper, each one representing a new day of notes. sometimes, things were scratched out or squeezed into small blank spaces. despite the untidiness, lime located today’s scribbles and pinpointed exactly what he’d research, starting with motors. he figured he’d need plenty of those to make each part of his robot move, so he decided to begin there.

‘oh,’ lime thought to himself upon seeing all the results. there were so many different kinds of motors, many of which he hadn’t even heard of before. the possibilities were overwhelming; how was he supposed to know what would work? how was he meant to research all the different varieties? that’d take forever! the chicoon took a break to process. after thinking it over, he ultimately decided to try and narrow down his searches even more in hopes of finding exactly what he needs. …or less results - that’d work, too.

by the end of class, lime was still a little overwhelmed, but had tricks to combat it. however, one thought kept repeating itself in its head: ‘motors aren’t the only part a robot needs.’ perhaps he could continue his research tomorrow; he spent lots of his time today worrying over the assignment as a whole. So of course, like anything you want to learn, it's going to take many, MANY videos to learn how to even get the basics down. Though of course, he takes notes of what the videos teach him, but that's not the only thing he does. He also researches various articles about robots and coding. Seeing how successful other people are at theirs and getting more ideas on how to make his slime-bot a reality. [121 words]

After reading the instructions handed out, Junebug went to the classroom next door to hop on one of the computers to do a little research as instructed. She started off researching 3D printing, since it really blew her mind that a fake digital object could just be printed out into the real world. And of course, it was becoming quite helpful in all types of crafts, including robotics. If she could learn how to 3D model and print things out, perhaps she could make some really useful robots!

Puffy pulled out her computer, a fancy rose gold MacBook, and started to research. She learned a lot but found something interesting; putting in her airpods, she watched a YouTube video, then another, then another. She quickly fell down the rabbit hole of robot fighting competitions. That was when an idea struck her; initially, she wanted a robot to outshine all the others, with sparkles and glitter to hide its flaws. But now, why would one want to compete to outshine the rest of the far more talented students when there could be no competition at all? When her robot could quite literally destroy the competition in a robot death match.
