Prompt: Lillie lifted their head, and walked a bit further on the pier. The river was filled with moss topped rocks and frog croaks. The area was peaceful minus the occasional chicoon group rafting down the flow of the river. The freshwater was cold to the touch but once you got used to it it was nice and felt like a hug. The small minnows swam down the stream looking for food, they usually ate the algae that floated in the water but occasionally would pick at the trout that weren’t able to make their full journey. The minnows seemed too love the coldness of the freshwater swimming up and down the stream happily.
