Prompt: Ocelot pads off, nervous about his newfound responsibility. Rather than looking for new books as Poe has recommended Ocelots finds themselves instead looking for lost backpacks or laptop bags for him to store the pages in, fearing that with him simply holding them as is the cat burglar might see him and simply swipe it from him before running off. They find themselves in the thriller section and take notice of a new empty binder, of which he quickly takes advantage of and shoves the pages in. Hopefully this doesn’t count as theft.

Dragonfly carefully puts the papers from the long chicoon into their book bag for safe keeping, intending to ask about it later. Reading the atmosphere of the room isn't hard, even for Dragonfly, who's usually hopelessly oblivious. The librarians all look woefully resigned... and Dragonfly can see why. It's hard to even move around the library without tripping over stray books as they go, and the sheer number of now-homeless pages is almost depressing in and of itself. They peripherally wonder if the cat burglar is looking for something specific, rifling around in all the library's contents... or if they're just running amok for the simple fun of doing so. Regardless, Dragonfly resigns themselves to the fact they'll likely never know. Cat burglars are curious creatures, after all.

For now they set to trying to find a book to check out. They'd help clean up but... looking around, it seems even the most dedicated of the organizers from the day before have caught the contagious melancholy mood and have given up entirely. Dragonfly wanders, hoping to find another book on bugs to check out, mentally thinking of some sort of plan they might be able to use to catch the cat burglar causing all this mischief when-- in the midst of their daydream-- they trip over a stray book and land flat on their face!

They rub their sore nose, muttering something under their breath, and as they right themselves again they notice a blur of tan fur, and they sigh. The look down at the book they tripped on. In a rare stroke of good luck, it's an Insect Field Guide! Dragonfly gratefully scoops it up and heads over to check it out for more late night bug facts.

On their way out Dragonfly is asked about recommendations and they pause. They recommend the book they had the day before-- Bugs and Where to Find Them-- though they realize now they're not even really sure where to find the book... much less any bugs.

Prompt: Inhaling sharply, Miles found his way into the fiction section, stumbling along with a desperate need for a good book. An indescribable, otherworldly pull seemed to drag him in the vague direction of West down one of the aisles, his eyes scanning through the rows of spines with little interest. He was not easily deterred, however, as a particular book caught his eye. He crouched down to its' level, dragging it out of its' crevice, and eyeing the front cover.
A cat with a stern gaze, in a portrait-like frame met his eyes. He blinked, hardly registering the title of Warriors as he dusted himself off and bee-lined for the librarians' desk. Little did he know, this would be the start of a very long, very addicting journey, which would follow him decades into the future...

Bubba enjoys the cuteness of the book and thinks that the chicoon who runs the clothing store near their dad's supply shop, would really enjoy it.

Wurbur heads to the graphic novels section of the library today, having had his share of fiction for the time being, he wants to try something new! He browses the shelves in search of a book, he finally finds one that catches his eye.
He gently picks the book out from its shelf and settles down in a bean bag chair on the floor. He reads the book, after a short while Wurbur begins to feel his eyes getting heavy. With a quiet yawn, he flops his head down, still trying to read his book...but the urge to fall asleep takes over...maybe the comfy bean bag chair wasn't a good idea. [112 words]

As he works to at least have books on the shelves as opposed to the floor, he spies a cover that is familiar to him. The book is titled To Catch A Killer (realistic fiction, amazing book, recommend!) And he picks it up. He turns it over and reads the blurb on the back. He is reminded of fond memories of reading it in the dark with his boyfriend... good times
