name: Shen
prompt:
A forest with trees so tall you could swear they touch the moon. Its nature looks similar to what you see when you enter a rainforest. The nights here are always longer than the day. If you were new in this place, you would be scared of what could happen when you take the next step – who knows what would appear if you accidentally stepped on an ancient button buried below a thick layer of various plants you most likely have never seen before?
You might be surprised if you see deer with shining hooves or colourful giant birds, but for local kalons, it’s nothing new. If you want to learn more about locals’ history, you should look for moths with unusual trails on their wings. It’s believed moths are reincarnated kalons. The weird trails on their wings tell the story of what life the kalon has lived.
The forest changes its look with every season, but somehow its’ flora doesn’t change that much. Winter is Shen’s favourite season. He enjoys the feeling of cold snow under his paws and catching snowflakes on his tongue. But what he loves the most are ghosts. Winter here is known as the “ghost season”. During the first night of astronomical winter, the kalons reincarnated as moths have to change their form to a ghost so that their moth form could survive. It creates an opportunity for Shen to learn more about the past because, unlike moths, the ghosts can talk. They turn back into moths when all the snow melts.
One week after this happens comes spring. Flowers gain more colours. Shen likes to make silly flower bouquets out of them.
After spring comes summer, obviously. Shen doesn’t like it because of the high temperatures. His thick fur makes it hard for him to cool down. Despite that, he has to admit that the countless festivals happening worldwide make it easier for him to find traits leading to ancient ruins. Kalons are more likely to share stories of their ancestors when they’re in a “festival rush”.
If Shen had to choose the spookiest season he’d have to say autumn. There might be no ghosts during this season, but there’s Halloween! Temperatures get colder, mist appears much more often and legends about vampires and witches can be heard everywhere.
extra: I like to think of Shen as a storyteller. He travels the world and shares the stories he learnt during his adventures with other kalons. Most of them treat his stories like they're just some legends, but it doesn't discourage him.
Sorry for any mistakes. English isn't my first language

. I hope I understood the prompt and filled the form correctly, this is my first time entering for a kalon!
