Halloween Sima #49 | CLOSED

Postby koegami » Thu Nov 02, 2023 8:23 am

a small sima comes up to you and gently taps you with their guard to get your attention. backing up a few steps they sit in front of you and looking at you with large pleading eyes. "help! there's a strange small sima running around cursing us! i saw them i swear! they even cursed me!!" they cry looking pretty shaken up. you lean down and pet them on the head, being mindful of their curse and try to reassure them. ".. thank you.. i just... everyone is so upset and this curse is getting worse! i feel like this place isn't my home anymore, i want it to be the way it used to be!!" they shout, looking to be moments from tears.

this distraught sima really seems to love their home!
how do they feel about their home OR what do they miss about their home?

prompt: What they miss most is how safe they felt. They used to feel comfortable and happy all the time. They felt accepted, always able to be themself whenever they were at home. They miss the familiarity, the routine, and the confidence they used to feel. There was no uncertainty, no anxiety, no self-doubt... But now, there was. It was inescapable. It was like the curse had turned their entire life upside down; what they had once felt sure about was now in question. Things used to be so simple; now everything is complicated. They have no idea how to break the curse, or if it is even possible, but they desperately hope they will find a way. They are clinging to memories of their home and the way things used to be, since those are the only things giving them hope in the midst of all of the confusion.
Despite everything,

prompt:
Ghost misses the warmth, the familiarity. He ran to escape the darkness that was home but it turns out that home was never dark. Home was never blended into the various shades of blue that the night becomes, it was always the warm yellow in the cold sea. He misses that feeling, the embrace of the light and the warmth his family offered. Now he hangs around the streets with other swindlers and thieves in the cold. All he wants is the warmth again and he knows he can never go back, everything he loved melted into the blue the minute he left.
