LOTTERY
At the suggestion of a friendly passerby, you decide to head over to the lottery stand. The guy manning it doesn’t notice you at first, preoccupied by something on the ground behind him. As you get closer, you realize he’s grumbling at a squirrel. After a moment of waiting for something to happen, you clear your throat, and he breaks his staredown to face you. “Stupid squirrel keeps stealing all the pens when I’m not looking. This is the last one,” he gripes, holding up a blue pen. “So don’t drop it!”
