Carolina Shepherd Breeding Roller
Information:
New: While health testing is STRONGLY encouraged, it is not required for breedings.
You may only submit one breeding per opening! This allows other folks to get their breedings in. If you have a split breeding that your partner posts you are allowed to submit one breeding.
Users get 3 breedings a month.
Forms must be filled out completely and correctly to be accepted. You may not edit your form.
Carolina Shepherds can be bred 5 times.
Female dogs may be bred once per calendar month (ie once in August, once in September, etc) while male dogs can be bred multiple times a month.
Breedings between two dogs you own or your dog and a club dog result in 1-3 puppies, while breedings between one of your dogs and another user's dog result in 2 or 4 puppies.
Breedings between two users require permission from both users to breed their dogs together. This must state whether or not inbreeding is permitted and traits should (or should not) be rolled. You must also include the month that the breeding is taking place. See below for an example split breeding template.
Breeding high risk genes can result in impaired puppies, sterile puppies, and empty litters. You can read more about the risks of inbreeding and risky genes here. You can also read about inherited health issues here.
Puppies will age into their adult versions in 7-14 days. Puppies are able to be bred 25 days after the litter is posted.
Adult dogs are allowed to participate in competitions, puppies are not.
Users who need their posts approved may submit breedings, however please send the artist a message on discord to let them know you are submitting a breeding! We will wait 30min for your post to come up before closing breedings.

Form Explanation
Personal Breeding Form:
Personal breedings are for breedings between two of your dogs or one of your dogs and a club dog.
Split Breeding Form:
Split breedings are for breedings with one of your dogs and another user's dogs. You must exchange permission to use the dogs together in a breeding.
Artist:
The username of the artist who has opened breedings
Username/Sire's Owner/Dam's Owner:
Your username in a personal breeding or the usernames of who owns the sire or dam in a split breeding.
If using a club dog for a personal breeding you may put 'Blue Ridge Club' or 'Club Dog' as the owner of a club dog.
Dam's/Sire's Name and ID#:
The dog's name and ID#, for example 'Sadie A-0003'
Dam's/Sire's Traits:
List traits and bonuses/penalties as found on the dog's page, for example 'Good nose (+2 to Tracking Trials)'
Link to Dam's/Sire's Page:
This should be a link to the dog's adoption page. If using a club dog link to their adoption page, ie Scout A-0003
Roll for Traits?(Y/N):
If you want the puppies to have traits, answer Y/yes, if you do not want the puppies to have traits, answer N/no and leave the sire's traits and dam's traits blank.
Continue if Inbreeding Present?(Y/N):
If inbreeding is found in the lineage of these dogs do you want to accept the risks and proceed with the breeding? Y/yes to accept risks and N/no to not continue with the breeding. You can find more information about the risks of inbreeding here.
Store Items:
If you have purchased any items from the store to apply to this breeding, you may indicate which item(s) you want to use here.
Permission:
If you are doing a split breeding with another user, you must exchange permissions to complete a split breeding with them. At a minimum they need to have your chickensmoothie usernames, both dog's names and ID#s, and the month/year of the breeding to take place. It is assumed that you do want to roll for traits and you do not want to inbreed, so if you want the puppies to not have traits or if you want to inbreed this needs to be stated in both user's permissions. A picture of this proof (via discord, pm, or forum post) is required as well, but please note that if you use forum posts they can not be edited.
Breeding permissions form:(Replace capitalized text with usernames/dog's name&ID#)
- Code: Select all
I, USERNAME, give permission to PARTNER'S USERNAME to breed my dog DOG NAME DOG ID# to PARTNER'S DOG AND DOG ID# in MONTH YEAR. Roll for traits and inbreeding not allowed.
For example, if I wanted to breed my dog Dave #A-0002 to madeupusername1’s dog Carla #A-0003, my permission would look like this: “I, taikunfoo give permission to madeupusername1 to breed my dog Dave #A-0002 to Carla #A-0003 in February 2021”. Madeupusername1 would also have to post a permission as well, and their permission would look like this: “I, madeupusername1 give permission to taikunfoo to breed my dog Carla #A-0003 to their dog Dave #A-0002 in February 2021.
If we wanted to allow for inbreeding, we would add the text “Inbreeding okay”, while if we wanted the puppies not to have traits, we would add the text “No traits” to both of our permissions.
