Reaction: For probably the first time since Sugar had come to this booth she actually wasn't that insulted from the get-go. Some chicoons may have picked up on some snark with the "just starting to get good" line, but Sugar was too tired to care. It'd been a long carnival, and while it had it's ups and downs, Sugar had really enjoyed herself. She wasn't going to let Slush Puppy's attitude ruin her last lovely day there. She gave Slush Puppy a genuine smile and thanked her for the bucket of balls. She wasn't surprised to be the only one left there, seemed like a lot of chicoons had either gotten to sick of Slush's shenanigans, was too betrayed by Froge's dunking them, or to weirded out by the whole Eddie situation and had left for some of the other more normal booths. But Sugar kept coming back. She really couldn't tell you why, but something kept drawing her back in. Maybe it was the hope to finally really nail it and dunk Froge back. Maybe it was some sort of Stockholm syndrome that Sugar began to like Slush's insults. Or maybe it was just the endless deodorant fumes had messed up her brain permanently. Yeah, it was probably the deodorant. No matter, Sugar wasn't going to let anything stop her from enjoying one last go at the dunk booth, and she had plenty of tries! With one last chuckle and shake of her head, Sugar got to throwing the balls. With this many, at least one was going to hit the target. But even if none of them did, Sugar still had a good time at the dunk booth! (279)

Reaction: Evergreen is quite happy to receive what seems more or less like a compliment, it is better than being laughed at at any rate so they will gladly take it! But even more exciting is when Slush Puppy says they can throw all the remaining balls at the target! It seems that continuing to come back despite the insults and laughter was all worth it, Evergreen has never seen such a large bucket of objects to throw in one place before! "Thank you!" Evergreen says joyfully, grabbing a ball from the bucket and taking aim, watching as it flies through the air and hits the target. They repeat this over and over, cheering each time a ball hits the target. They are clearly having a wonderful time, even after Froge leaves the dunk tank and they are no longer actually dunking anyone. While this might seem strange to any onlookers, this was truly what Evergreen had been hoping for all along, so they truly could not be happier! They remain at the booth, throwing balls at the target, until every last one has been thrown. By that point, they have the biggest smile on their face, all past frustrations completely forgotten and replaced with happiness. This was the best day ever!
