Chicoons being used: Mischief and Mango
Booth Name: Ducky's Pick a Duck
Prompt: Mischief drags Mango to Ducky's booth, honestly Mischief would keep one of the duckies as the prize if they could. They think the little squeaky toys are so cute. They wave to Ducking honking softly in greeting, they are excited to play again. They look up to Mango beaming happily as they point to the duck and gesture picking one up as all the explanation he needs about how this booth works before they pick up one of the duckies themselves and turn it over to see what's on the bottom. They show the ducky to Ducky who nods and hands Mischief a sour candy. Mischief honks happily at the treat and eats it immediately, tearing up at the sour taste but not seeming to mind. They pat Mango's arm, pointing to the pool insisting Mango try too.

Mango chuckles at his friend but picks out a duck as well, he turns it over though he has no idea what the prizes are so it doesn't help him much in figuring out what he will get. He shows the ducky to Ducky and Mischief smiling softly when Mischief starts to wiggle excitedly. Ducky grabs a bag with a fish in it and proudly presents it to Mango as his reward. Mango takes the fish smiling as he holds it up to look at it swimming lazily in the bag. "Thanks, it's really cute!" He has to admit while he has his doubts about the legality of just setting up a booth uninvited the prizes are still nice and he's having fun exploring with his best friend.

Mischief and Mango move to sit aside so that others can crowd around the kiddie pool and pull their duckies for prizes. They watch happily as Chicoons come and get everything from Clown Wigs to Silly Shades. Occasionally Ducky even seems to introduce players to each other when they pick the ducky that looks like him. Mango smiles cuddling Mischief as they both just relax and enjoy watching Ducky and his ducky pool draw a little crowd of chicoons dedicated to the little unofficial booth.

Booth Name: Alien Plinko
Prompt: Mischief's next stop to drag Mango off to visit is Mystra's Alien Plinko. Mischief honks happily at Mystra pointing to the pucks then to themselves and Mango silently requesting to do the booth. Mystra hands the pair of chicoons a puck each wishing them good luck before turning back to playing with the plush. Mischief honks happily scrambling to the board to drop their puck down watching with rapt attention as it tumbles down, clinking as it goes. They honk happily when it lands in a specific hole rushing over to tap Mystra's arm to draw her attention to doling out the prize. She turns to look where their puck landed before absent mindedly handing Mischief a knife covered in jam.

Mango isn't watching Mischief he's focused on carefully lining up his puck to drop down. He watches it go down, the clinking noise it makes very satisfying and tries to read what prize he gets behind the puck once it drops. He turns to look at Mystra

"Hey what's the prize for this one?" He asks curiously. He's having a hard time reading the name of the prize when the puck is already in the slot. He really should have read what the prizes were before dropping his puck.

Mystra turns to look again and pulls out an inflatable alien for Mango in response. Mango takes the inflatable alien curiously, he's never seen something like this. He turns to Mischief, realizing they have something in their paws. "Hey what do you got there?"

Mischief proudly shows Mango the knife.

Mango promptly panics "A knife?! No!!!" He takes off after Mischief who cackles as they run off with their prize. Mango chases Mischief all over the room trying to get the knife from them while also not loosing the inflatable alien that keeps trying to fly off from their back since they are running so fast. Eventually Mango manages to grab Mischief and take the knife to examine it for safety reasons. He's relieved when he figures out it's a rubber knife with jam all over it not a real knife. He huffs at Mischief "You could have said it was a toy" He grumbles but Mischief is just laughing at him for getting so worked up about the prize.\

Chicoon being used: Sugar
Booth Name: POPS' FISHIN' HOLE
Prompt: Image

Booth Name: Scoop's Carnival Golf
Prompt:
The sun shone bright over the rolling plastic grass of the carnival golf. Sugar smiled at Scoops as he handed her a matching club and golf ball for the day. She looked across the courses, seeing many different chicoons tackling the different challenges in all sorts of unique says. Sugar took a moment to stretch her arms and legs, she didn't want to pull anything when she swung! After she was all stretched and satisfied she got ready to start with the first hole. This was the most straightforward so it was a good warmup, but since it was the most basic not too many chicoons were gathered around and Sugar was able to step right up and complete it quickly.
She skipped across to the next one, humming a tune along with her companion, and made it to the course with the big orange chicoon statue. "My nemesis" she thought, as it had repeatedly caused her trouble. Her companion Mulberry hyped her up, gave her a tiny shoulder massage and Sugar was ready to try it once more. Although not perfect, she did better than she'd done before, so she would be satisfied with that for now! Onto the next!
Next was the legendary ring of fire! Sugar chuckled at the dramatic sight, but all things considered, it wasn't the most difficult course of them all. She took some care to not singe her golf ball in the fire, but it made it into the hole easy enough.
What was next? Another standard type of course except... Scoops? Why was he always trying to nap right on top of this course? Isn't he supposed to be in charge here? Is the fake grass softer here? Sugar didn't know, but with some budging and some ice-cream bribery she was finally able to get Scoops to move just long enough for her to make the shot for this course.
The next hole though... was another ordeal. It was a huge pile of ice cream several feet tall and wide. Sugar shook her head at the ridiculous sight, but she called out to the entire golf course and chicoons of all shapes and sizes showed up to help "clean up" the ice cream. It was a bit gross... but hey, it's hot and sunny who can really say no to ice cream? Once that was cleared up the next two holes were straightforward, and she happily completed them (though her golf ball did end up a bit sticky...)
Lastly, what Sugar had to admit was her favorite, the course with the tiny bridge and adorable windmill. The course was a bit more difficult than some of the others with it's twists and turns, trying to make it over the bridge, and avoid the blades of the windmill. But it was such a cute set that Sugar didn't mind spending a bit more time there.
After all was done, Sugar had a great time playing golf at the carnival! (496)

Booth Name: Clowning Around
Prompt:
Sugar wasn't so sure about the whole "everyone becomes clowns for the carnival" booth... but she shouldn't knock it before she tries it. To her surprise, everyone there was so friendly and helpful! Coat Rack seemed nervous at first as well, but everyone joining together to learn really helped ease everyone's nerves!
One of the first things they learned was doing their own clown makeup! Everyone had a different style, Sugar decided to go for a sort of sun and moon motif on each eye herself! A few of the chicoons were helping eachother with the painting, and Sugar thought that was just so sweet! She ended up making a bit of a mess with the face paint, but she had a great time trying it out and seeing what everyone did!
The next class was the outfits, this was a bit more along Sugar's vibe. She enjoyed mixing colors and patterns in new and interesting ways in her outfit, she really let loose and trying something really creative that she never would do otherwise. Her clown outfit didn't fit the best around her wings and she ended up ripping it a bit... she hoped Coat Rack wouldn't be upset...
Then everyone was trying to fit into the clown cars. Sugar was worried it'd be too tight or claustrophobic but they managed to fit a surprising number of chicoons in just one car! And not only the chicooons, but a few parasites and companions as well! Sugar had to apologize a few times as her wings whacked a few other chicoons in the car, but with some squeezing and shifting they all managed to get their many limbs and tails in the car and were able to drive some small circles around the tent!
One of the last things they worked on was balloon animals! Some of the chicoons caught on really quickly, but Sugar seemed to be struggling. Not in the "pops every balloon she touches" kind of problem, but she couldn't seem to get the twists to stay in place without just popping back out. But the community they had all built was one of helpfulness, kindness, and comradery, so several others offered to help show her how to to it. After some time Sugar managed to make a nice little balloon flower, all because of the help of her new clown friends.
Sugar learned that clowns aren't all that bad after all! (405)

Booth Name: RIDE FIXIN'
Prompt:
Sugar was NOT thrilled to have the task of fixing the pendulum ride thrust upon her right at the beginning of the carnival. She's no mechanic! And that was a huge piece of equipment! How was she ever going to fix this thing? She almost left, not wanting anything to do with it... but she soon felt bad just leaving it without even trying to help.
Early on she found the power source wasn't hooked up correctly (some chicoon had unplugged it so they could charge their phone, shame on them) so she was able to fix that up, but still nothing seemed to change. She later found a manual but the pages were all separated and mixed up! So her and her companion Mulberry took a whole day to sort them and put them in the proper order.
Throughout the week when she'd make her way to the broken ride she'd see Ripsaw trying to fix it as well, in his own more chaotic way. At one point she found him in a maintenance panel ripping out wires all over the place! Clearly nothing he'd tried had worked so far, so he'd resorted to this. Sugar couldn't really blame him, nothing anyone had done yet had helped... but destroying more of the ride probably wasn't the best idea either right?
But it was no matter, soon enough Ripsaw stormed out, leaving the pile of jumbled cords and wires for Sugar to sort through. She was actually having a good time connecting the correct wires to the correct slots... until her companion decided to pull a brank and scare her!
Another day, another attempt at fixing the ride, or so Sugar thought. Once again, Ripsaw had seemingly failed to fix the ride and had thrown a bit of a fit because of it. The whole tool shed was a disaster, tools and parts thrown about all over the place. Sugar sighed and got to work reorganizing it all once more, trying to keep an inventory of all the parts and tools so that maybe if a mechanic finally did show up, at least they could find the tools they need. Sugar chuckled, she really seemed to have a knack for sorting huh?
The next time she showed up to the broken pendulum ride, Sugar was a bit on edge wondering what mess would be there today. But what she found surprised her! There was no destruction, no ripped wires or broken parts to be found, all that was found was a worn out sleeping Ripsaw. Despite all the grumbles and destruction Sugar had seen so far, she couldn't help but find the sleeping chicoon rather sweet. He'd worked so hard and had no success, Sugar wondered if he had even had a chance to enjoy any of the other booths at the carnival! She decided she'd share a few of her plushie prizes with him to keep him company, and she even wrapped a blanket around him as he slept. She hoped that maybe the next day he might be in a better mood to keep working hard! (518)

Chicoon being used: Zone and the booth's mascot, Pops!
Booth Name: Pop's fishing hole
Prompt: It had been a while since Zone went and talked to Pops, so he decided to today! A bonus to this is that Pops is currently running a booth, so he decides he will check that out as well! His journey to the booth is mostly uneventful, except for the occasional almost collision with other chicoons running around. He had been to the other booths at the carnival, but he felt like Pops' was one he always missed. His paws made a soft pitter-patter on the grass as he approached. He could see Pops talking to a booth-goer and decided to hang back until they were done. Pops looks over his shoulder and sees Zone sitting patiently. He smiles wide and waves him over excitedly, headwings flapping. Zone laughs to himself and trots over. "Hey there Pops-!" he tries to say, being cut off as Pops grabs him around the neck and ruffles the top of his head. Zone honks in surprise, laughing shortly after. "What's up Zone!? What brings you to this nice little place?" Pops barks out. "Well, I just wanted to see you I guess!" Zone says, "and maybe play your game if you don't mind." Pops laugh, a hearty sound that vibrates through his whole body. “Well, of course Zone! It’s been a while, how are you pal?” He asks. Zone thinks for a moment, “It’s been good! Raindrop, Tangerine and I have been hanging out more and I feel like we’ve become a lot closer. Oh! And I met someone new the other day! I’ll introduce her to you sometime, she’s very nice. Reminds me of you a little!” Zone jokes, inciting a giggle from Pops. “That’s good to hear buddy! Now, how about you try your hand at some fishing?” He offers. Zone nods excitedly and the two stroll over to the pools. Pops hands Zone a pole and the two happily fish together for a while. The two aren't really keeping track, just catching fish and throwing them back. Eventually, Pops decides he should get back to running his booth. However, he doesn't want Zone to leave empty handed! He walks to the fridge where he keeps the Pops-icles and pulls out a delicious looking ice cream! Zone is thrilled, and chomps into it with glee. Uh oh, brainfreeze!

Chicoon being used: Everett with an appearance by Scoop and Wonka
Booth Name: Scoop’s Carnival Golf
Prompt: Everett anxiously tugged at their white polo shirt that they spent an hour ironing this morning. They looked down at their gold watch again. This particular watch was only worn for special occasions. Only a minute and forty seconds had passed from the last time they glanced at the watch. Their ears lowered slightly as they realized how badly they had misinterpreted this booth. When seeing the advertisement for Scoop’s Carnival Golf prior to the actual carnival, Everett incorrectly assumed that it would be actual golf — not miniature golf. They were so excited to play that they bought the white polo that now cling to their sweaty body from a department store. Why did they assume that this booth would be like professional golf? This was a carnival, of course.

Everett also vastly underestimated the amount of players. It seemed like practically every Chicoon never played golf before. Everett overheard Chicoons discussing how to play golf, and how to properly hold the ‘golf racquet’ or ‘golf bat’’. Forty minutes into their arrival, they were still waiting for their chance to play the first course.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Everett bounded up to Scoop. They quickly mumbled an apology for their attire. “I think I am a little overdressed.” Kneeling down in the grass, Everett studied every twist and then of the course in front of them. After a few seconds, they stood up and dusted off their legs. “I got this.” They said to themselves, blushing when they realized that Scoop could hear them.

Everett not only felt excited due to the fact that they could rarely find anybody to play golf with, but also because they knew they were going to show the other Chicoons how golf was really played. Everett swung the club, keeping the club over their shoulder even after the club made contact with the ball. They felt like a big man on the course — a true professional. However, to Everett’s disappointment horror, the golf ball was not even close to the hole. Their heart sunk. What were the other Chicoons thinking? Were the Chicoons behind them snickering? Everett continued to play the course, since they were certainly not a quitter, but could not help but feel like crying when they ended up receiving a four.

Everett began to walk away, but quickly found that somebody’s tail was wrapping around their own tail. “You looked great out there! Do you think you can teach me?” Wonka said. Everett quickly blinked away the tears they were about to fall. Clearing their voice, they honked. “I would be happy to.”

Everett had some highs and lows while playing the other courses; however, they were genuinely able to have fun and let loose. Maybe miniature golf was not so inferior after all.
—————————————————————————————————————————————

Chicoon being used: Everett
Booth Name: Goose’s Arcade
Prompt: While wandering around the carnival, Everett stumbled across the arcade. Unable to pass up a claw machine when presented with the opportunity, they quickly ran to get inside the arcade. “Sorry! That was an accident. Call my lawyer!” Everett called without looking behind them as they pushed a small Chicoon out of the way.

Everett slowed down their pace as they pushed open the doors. “Woah…” Their voice trailed off as their eyes adjusted to the large space. They were always enamored with the lights and sounds of an arcade. They closed their eyes and listened, breathing in the smells of the arcade. “It smells like pure joy mixed with spilled soda and anxiety.” Everett loved arcades because they were fun for Chicoons of all ages. You could play a claw machine at five years old or ninety nine years old. It did not matter. Your chances were the same. They liked an even playing field.

Everett spent the next several minutes wandering around the arcade. They checked out several machines and watched some Chicoons try their luck with claw machines. They wandered over to the classic arcade machines, stopping to look at Frogger and Space Invaders. Everett preferred the older machines as opposed to the newer, flashier gadgets. They felt the machines, closing their eyes as they imagined how many Chicoons played these very same machines. They enjoyed being a part of the machine’s history, so they stuck two quarters into the Space Invaders machine. Everett began to crazily press the button, trying to kill the enemies on the flashing screen. The lights, sounds, and press of the button filled them with a sense of ecstasy. They laughed as their score increased. Playing these types of games was addicting to Everett. They continued to play the machine, occasionally taking a sip of their soft drink. After an hour of playing, Everett decided to lose the game on purpose. It was almost closing time and they still wanted to check out what prizes the arcade had to offer. Everett enjoyed the fact that every arcade was different — different machines, layout, staff, clientele, and prizes. You never knew what to expect.

Everett found that the staff was especially attentive and enjoyable to converse with. The staff answered all of their questions and seemed to be listening when Everett gave them useless fun facts about Space Invaders. “I will definitely be back tomorrow to try to win that plushie!” They pointed to big beanbag plush. They left the arcade with a big smile on their face, already wishing that it was tomorrow.
—————————————————————————————————————————————

Chicoon being used: Everett
Booth Name: Pops’ Fishing Booth
Prompt: Everett walked up to Pops’ fishing booth. This seemed quite different from the ‘fishing’ they were used to. The lure options were the same as last time, but the Chicoons participating did not catch any actual fish. Everett felt like this booth was not only more ethical than real fishing, but also more enjoyable. They always disliked putting worms on hooks just to sit and wait for a fish for hours. Most of the time, the size of the fish was not even worth the time or effort.

Everett sat down on the ground and considered their lure options. There was a basic lure, feather lure, and sparkly lure. Everett could also choose to ‘fish’ with their hands. Everett looked down at their hands, flipping them over to give them the once over. They were not too confident with using their hands with real fish, since they were slippery, but this was a different ball game. It seemed like Everett would be fishing plushies; however, they still preferred to use a lure. They decided to go with the sparkly lure for the simple fact that they were just drawn to the object. “I will try my luck with that lure!” They looked at Pops and pointed to the bright and flashy lure. They looked around the booth as Pops prepared the fishing pole. Everett really did not understand how this booth would work, but they were excited to try it for the first time. They also saw quite a few Chicoons walk away from the booth with a stuffed unicorn and Pegasus. Those prizes looked pretty epic to Everett.

Grabbing the fishing pole adorned with the sparkly lure, Everett carefully cast the pole. To their surprise, something attached to the lure fairly quickly. They looked over at Pops, not quite sure what to do. Should they pull the pole out themselves, or was Pops supposed to do something? After a few seconds of waiting, Everett could not contain their excitement any longer. They pulled up the pole and gasped as they saw the coloring plush. The coloring plush was the best prize, in Everett’s opinion. “This is incredible! This is crazy!” They exclaimed, gripping the plush in between their paws. They pulled the plush to their chest, wrapping the stuffie in a warm embrace. “Thank you for running this booth!” They happily walked away from the booth, more overjoyed than words could ever express.

Chicoon being used: Hunter, Grape
Booth Name: High Flyers
Prompt: Hunter decides it's time to take a ride on High Flyers. He hasn't ridden it before and Grape had finally convinced him to.
"You should totally take a shot at High Flyers." Grape suggested, giggling at the thought of Hunter enjoying the ride. Hunter gave her a playful side eye.
"Yeah, no way. That's a child's ride." Hunter responded and grinned, Grape rolled her eyes playfully in response.
Hunter had finally made it to the front of the line where he stood in front of the ride, looking at the operator, Eddie. Eddie is smoking a cigarette and Hunter would hate to admit that he found Eddie a little intimidating. His eyes met Hunter's and he smiled. "One or two people?" He spoke, holding a finger up for one and two fingers up for two as he said the words, respectively.
Hunter began to speak. ".. Two people pl-"
"One! I think Hunter should try this one by himself." Grape had interrupted him.
"Grape- please don't! We can ride together! It'd be-- more fun!"
"Oh, are you scared? It's okay if you are."
"N-No! I'm not scared!"
Of course, Hunter's body language read the exact opposite.
Eddie nodded and opened the gate to let Hunter in. When he realized Grape was serious, he gulped. He honestly was terrified, and if he wanted to try this, he wanted to do it with company. He didn't appreciate her doing this. Eddie had gotten Hunter set up in his own car, and put Grape and Skippy in another car. Hunter held on tight to the walls of the ride as it took flight. He began to panic as he saw the height between him and the ground grow. Grape was holding Skippy tight, the ride was sure amazing and fun to them!
The height looked so dramatic from Hunter's point of view. Every new foot in the air looked like it was ten times higher. He felt a little dizzy as he spun and looked up, shutting his eyes tight. He hoped that doing this would help to erase any fear he had!
And before Hunter knew it, he was screaming at the top of his lungs from fear. This was involuntary as he panicked. Hunter's secret fear was heights and he never told anyone!

Booth Name: Clowning Around
Prompt: Hunter wasn't really into the culture or gimmick of clowns, and he hadn't given Clowning Around a chance until Grape pointed it out. She was never into clown school either, but she thought it may be interesting to give it a shot and see it from another perspective. Hunter didn't see the harm in participating. "Why the hell not?" was the response Grape got when she asked him about participating.
The two chicoons walked up to Coat Rack and Jacket and signed up to participate in Clown Activities. "Today is balloon animal making! I think.." Coat Rack had told the two newcomers. "You don't think your claws would get in the way of that, would they?"
Hunter looked down at his goldenrod claws and shrugged. He wasn't really sure but it was worth a shot. "I can handle balloons without them popping? I think? So I can definitely try?"
Grape giggled. Skippy was placed on Grape's head.
Every clown needs their proper attire first, though! Grape wasn't very excited for the mess of clown makeup, but Hunter was looking forward to the chaotic mess he could create on his face! Grape's goto colors for clown makeup were white, pink, and yellow as she thought those colors complemented her fur the best. Hunter had grabbed whatever was available and began to decorate his face.
Coat Rack had given the two their balloons, as well as the rest of the chicoons attending inside of the tent, and began to demonstrate the creation of a balloon dog. Hunter was getting it down pretty well! He blew up the balloon, twisted it all around, and made the basic balloon dog. But as basic as it seemed, he loves the balloon dog.
Grape filled up her balloon and looked at it in confusion. She was a bit overwhelmed by the tutorial as she wasn't very sure what the right way to do this was. She twisted it all around and yet the balloon kept coming apart. She ended off with a balloon worm while Hunter had his balloon dog...
Grape sighed, and Hunter could see she was frustrated with the task. He held up the balloon dog to her balloon worm. "Our balloon creatures could be best pals," he suggested. Grape smiled and giggled a little at the thought; a balloon dog and his worm best friend. "I'm in."

Prompt: Hunter and Grape take a visit to the Ride Fixin' booth now. Neither of them had gotten the chance to visit and participate, so this is their opportunity to do so! Ripsaw was currently very busy trying to fix the ride. It was obvious he was a very busy chicoon, he was running all over the place to get things in order. He was tinkering with metal pieces and chains, and gears and wires...
Hunter looked at Grape. "I'm not very sure if I know how to fix carnival rides. I can't even fix my mental health." He joked, but Grape took it seriously and her jaw dropped at the statement.
"You.. You okay Hunter?"
"Yeah!! I joke, I kid. I'm fine I swear! You just worry too much!" Hunter chuckled.
"Are you sure? If you need to talk..."
"I'm okay! Please don't worry. Now, let's see.." Hunter had seen a few notes about the ride laying around, and he moved to look at them and read them. "This ride's problem looks like a broken track. Needs replaced." Hunter read off one of the notes aloud to Grape. "Okay, that should be simple enough. Do they keep spare tracks around here?"
Grape shrugged, she had no clue.
"Well, I guess we're lookin'!" Hunter got onto all fours and trotted around the area in search of tracks. He had found a door to the ride's building and opened it up, it was ride repair heaven. It was full of tools and against the wall there were spare tracks! Hunter didn't hesitate before trying to grab one and drag it through back to the outside. It made an awful noise as it dragged upon the floor but Hunter didn't pay any mind.
He brought it back to Grape and tried to pick the heavy piece of metal up.
As he got to Grape his grip slipped and the piece of track had hit his foot. He yowled and yanked his foot out from under it, while Grape giggled. She knew he was going to be fine as his feet were made of water.
Everything really loves tormenting Hunter.
