Evergreen returns to the ride, slightly more knowledgeable about ride maintenance and rather tired from staying up way too late the previous night reading that book about how to fix carnival rides. They stifle a yawn as they approach the ride, noting that there are a few things arranged slightly differently than they had left them. A glance around reveals the most likely reason for this; Ripsaw seems to have returned overnight after they left for the day yesterday. And considering he seems to have fallen asleep at his desk, it seems likely he stayed up way too late last night, too.
Well, Evergreen certainly is not going to be the one to wake Ripsaw up. They already feel bad enough that due to the mix up Ripsaw has been overworking himself trying to fix the ride. Instead, Evergreen will get to work on trying to fix the ride again, as quietly as possible. They look over the ride, trying to figure out what exactly Ripsaw did while they were gone. After all, if he managed to fix something, Evergreen would not want to accidentally mess it up again while fixing something else. It took them some time to determine what was changed, but once they were finished, they began working on the wiring in another section of the ride. Fortunately, the book they had been reading had given them some insight on what the different colored wires meant, so there was much less trial and error involved today than in previous days. It still took them a few hours, though. Finally, the wires all seemed to be in the right places, and when Evergreen tried to turn the ride on, it actually made some noises in addition to the lights turning on! The noises did not sound quite right, however, and the ride still was not moving much. Evergreen quickly turned the ride off again so as not to wake Ripsaw up, and returned to examining the wires. Hmm, maybe this one actually goes there, and that one actually goes here...
Okay, so there was still some trial and error to deal with.

This is amongst Leggers' first days of being alive! They are having so much fun at the carnival! Although, their permanently scowled expression seems to tell otherwise- the plush chicoon wandered past some barricades and into the ~behind the scenes~ area of some of the rides, and saw Ripsaw kind of just pulling other chicoons around and getting them to do stuff. While they all looked equally as confused as the plush felt, it was such an interesting sight! Behind every broken rollercoaster is a regular carnival-goer who got roped into this nonsense <3

It would be rude to awake someone when they are sleeping so Miles decide not to wake him up, it also feel weird that Miles just standing here not doing.. so for once he open up a machine fixing manual to read, hoping to figure out something to fixing the ride, Miles determent flame up that he can do it!

Quince thinks about using an airhorn to wake up Ripsaw, but decides against it as he goes and gently grabs the paperwork Ripsaw was sleeping on to see what he was working on. First though, he has to move Ripsaw to get to it which would be.... difficult to say the least.

Ace spots the sleepy chicoon and sighs. Yesterday they went out and had a nice day, while Ripsaw was apparently still working hard and nothing was fixed yet. Unsure what else to do, Ace went rummaging around until they came up with a blanket, gently placing it over ripsaw so he wouldn't catch a chill sleeping out in the open like this.

Parking Ticket didn't know why he continued to be drawn back to the carnival's broken down pendulum ride. It wasn't like he was waiting for it to be fixed to ride it himself after all. But there was just something about it, he couldn't stay away for longer than a day no matter how hard he tried to.
It was still broken, obviously. Or at least it looked like it was. Parking Ticket wondered when they were going to hire someone that actually knew what they were doing to fix the ride, if they ever were even going to that was.
He startled a bit when he noticed Ripsaw passed out at the desk, before carefully walking up to him. Had he been here all night? Man, poor guy. Parking Ticket reached out and very lightly patted at Ripsaw's back so as not to wake up the other Chicoon, a silent 'good luck' gesture, and made his way back away from the ride once again. Coming to see that it was still totally busted was enough to satisfy his strange new obsession with the ride for today at least. He hoped that come tomorrow the ride would be back in working order, if for no other reason than so he'd stop feeling like he needed to come check up on it every single day [224]
