i've decided to... continue my work but with a good friend to help!
| ~ Hershey rushed quickly on set of the broken ride ~ | "oh no oh no!!! I wasn't here yesterday! Oh how could I have forgotten?!" | ~ He moped about missing the second day, and therefore missing the work- he felt terrible! But sadly nothing could be done about it. He overheard the two chicoons talking and gave a slight frown ~ | "oh.. how encouraging...-" |-he spoke softly to himself as he sighed and grabbed the toolbox, slowly walking in the direction of the rides control panel when a familiar but loud voice called his name ~ | "?!" | ~ Hershey turned around and noticed his good friend Mikey, visiting the rides with his trusted companion. Mikey seemed to waste no time jumping over the bars of the enclosed the ride and walking over to Hershey ~ | *"you didn't tell me you got a job in fixing rides! Actually I didn't expect such a thing in general- not in a rude way of course!"* | ~ Mikey Exclaimed ~ | "oh- well- that's a story for later. Hey wait! You're good at fixing things!! Can you help me?! Please!!.. I don't know what I'm doing- at all..." | ~ Hershey said in a slightly eager voice. In return to Hershey's request, Mikey gave a soft smile. ~ | *"let's fix this thing!"* | ~ Hershey smiled brightly and gave him a swift hug before leading him off to show Mikey the current progress done in the control panel. Mikey took a good long look around before nodding ~ | *"these are basic ride controls fortunately! I think I can indeed be of some assistance. First off- a few of these wires are connected incorrectly"* | ~ Mikey said calmly, placing some of the wires in their correct connections. This actually got some of the lights in the control room to begin working, maybe the lights outside of the ride would work now too? ~ | "oh! That was fast- I would've never figured that out." | ~ Hershey said while looking around in Awe ~ | *"sometimes a helping hand is all you need to learn! Also, I have too much free time anyway. Fixing this ride is much more fun than that"* | ~ With more confidence, and the guidance of his friend, Hershey and Mikey worked hard on the ride. Even Mikey's little companion gave a helping hand ~ | *"I've adjusted a few gears, tightened some bolts and fixed alot of wiring. Some of the wires seemed tainted by a wet film? It was very odd.. unlike anything I'd ever seen before!. Try to turn the ride on and go see what happens, we've made significant progress, that's for sure."* | ~ Mikey Exclaimed his findings and progress before asking his question to Hershey. Hershey nodded and pressed a few buttons, scurrying outside to see the progress. After a few minutes Hershey came back in with excitement ~ | "the lights are working again! And the seat restraints are lifted up now. The ride isn't moving but you were right! At this rate the ride will be fixed in no time!" | ~ Hershey Explained with great joy. Mikey smiled at his enthusiasm, though looking outside of the control panel and sighing. ~ | *"I'm proud of our progress, but we can't stay in here the entire night!~ let's go enjoy the carnival a little bit and call it a day. We've been working since morning, and it's dark now."* | ~ Mikey said in a generous tone of voice, almost- shy? ~ | "oh, alright! Let's clean up and call it a day. " | ~ Hershey agreed to the offer and they both packed up, leaving the ride for today to enjoy the rest of the carnival. They'd be returning tomorrow, hoping for the best. ~ |
