i've decided to... check out what needs fixing and the tools!
Penelope's eyes widened. Just a moment ago, she was wandering around the fair, and now, she was tasked with fixing rides. She made her own prosthetics, so she had a decent expertise with fixing things. Despite that, she had no clue how to fix rides, but she could at least try. What's the worst that could happen, right? Penelope agreed, and padded over to the toolbox laying by the ride, and she opened it to see- definitely not tools. "A pack of candy, an empty soda can, some tickets... aha! A wrench!" She exclaimed. This would be useful! Now, to see what was to be repaired.. Penelope looked up and saw the ride in question. It was in rougher shape than she thought, but... challenge accepted! (127 words)

Froge follows the fellow chicoon with a hint of concern in his curiosity and excitement. He can't help but worry if he'll be allowed to fix anything, even if he knows how. Nonetheless, spending his break out of the dunk tank fixing some rides could be fun! He picks up the tools with a sense of responsibility and urgency to see what's available to him and gets to work trying to figure out what's wrong with the ride. Taking the tools over to the control panel, he opens it up and takes a careful look inside to see if there is a noticeable problem that needs immediate attention. (108)

Quince has decided to look at the tools and see what ones do what before proceeding. It is always a good measure in case you accidentally hammer a screw and not a nail. Eventually Quince fills the right tools and starts to try to do something to fix what's going on though I don't think he really knows too well how too. Eventually Quince manages to get whatever he's fixing completed though it looks a bit wonky as he didn't have all the right tools... at least right now that it functions it should be good for now I suppose.

Cry.
The unpexected, crushing weight of responsibility made Solar unable to do anything other than sit down next to the toolbox and cry. What if he messes it up further? What if he sabotages the ride and kills someone? He came here to unwind, not for a crash course of being a responsible adult. :(
I'm leaving this plane. 🛸 It's time to take care of my adult life. Can't do that if I'm here.
I can be contacted on Discord @laconcorde until I change my username.

Evergreen follows the Chicoon who seems to have mistaken them for a maintenance worker through the crowds. Truthfully, they have no idea why the Chicoon thought they were a maintenance worker. In fact, Evergreen is usually not the most skilled at making repairs. The time when their table's leg broke and they tried to fix it with a glue stick comes to mind. That fix lasted all of five minutes. Nonetheless, Evergreen is the type of Chicoon who always tries to help, even if they have no idea what they are doing, so they do not argue with the Chicoon's assumption and simply try to figure out what is wrong with the ride by process of elimination.
Which means they need to start by turning the ride on to try to figure out where the issue stems from. Unfortunately, Evergreen has never operated any kind of carnival ride before, so they spend several minutes just pressing random buttons and hoping for the best. When they have finally exhausted all of the button pressing possibilities, they start pulling levers. Most of those do not appear to do anything either, besides one that opens a container that Evergreen assumes is where the tickets for the ride are supposed to go. Oops. Evergreen quickly closes it again and turns back to the control panel. That is when they notice a key hole on the side of the control panel.
Maybe something is wrong with the wiring? Evergreen figures it is worth checking on, so they look all over the place for the key. Just as they are considering trying to find the Chicoon who led them to the ride and ask where it is, they finally find the key among all the tools in the metallic shack that had been pointed out to them earlier. What was it doing in there anyway? Oh well, Evergreen was not going to complain about it, at least now they could check the wiring under the control panel and see if there was anything wrong there.
Despite everything,

Heya, I'm Eevee!
Thank you so much to twinkle! for the adorable avatar!
It's still you.

Ace gets a bit flustered when showed the toolbox and left to their own devices. They were definitely not qualified, and seemed to have got themself into a bit of a pickle. Well... it seemed these busy chicoons really needed a helping hand, the least they could do was take a closer look. Ace started by rummaging around in the toolbox to see what they were working with before glancing up at the ride, bemused. There were knuts and bolts and wires everywhere, but nothing look particularly out of place. This was going to be way more difficult than they first anticipated, unless it was as simple as turning it off and on again... [114]

Enter stared rather quietly at the ride for a good, long moment. It was a lot to take in, all at once. She wasn’t exactly a mechanic-- hardly qualified to ride these, much less repair one herself! Even still though, she decided that she would give this the best shot possible and would turn tail toward the metallic shack off in the distance, as advised by the chicoon that had led her here to begin with!
This was honestly just leading her to be even more confused, all things considered. Her gaze flittered back and forth between items-- she had not a single idea of what any of these things did, much less what they would do in tandem with one another. Even still…even still--
She’d try her best. Keeping a level head and remaining thoughtful in this situation would do a lot for her. She’d collect a few miscellaneous tools into a spare bucket she found around the shack. Things she thought might be helpful. Wrenches, screws, wires... nuts, bolts, pliers… honestly, if she could take the whole shack closer to the ride she might have contemplated it for a moment.
With bucket in tow (or mouth), she’d make her way back to the ride. She assumed that the best starting point would be to make sure that the power supply was actually in correctly. It was like a toy train, right? Only bigger. And not at all like a train aside from the need for power in order to be in motion. Maybe a pendulum would’ve been a better comparison, but those didn’t require power--
She was getting sidetracked. Enter would locate what she could only assume to be the panel that covered up the power source for the ride, setting the bucket down gently and rummaging through. Whoops. There went all the nuts and bolts that she had brought over. No matter! She could just go get more if she needed them. Soon enough though, she had a screwdriver and would work to remove the plates for the ride. Progress! Toward what? Hopefully solving the problem.
She had not a singular clue what any of these wires did though, or if any of them were even really wrong. Well… it was worth a try, right? As she went to reach for one of the wires though, she had a new thought-- maybe she should… just check if it was plugged in to begin with? And so she’d locate the thick cables leading from the ride to the power outlets. It was plugged in, of course. Surely they wouldn’t have forgotten that so easily. Even still, something came to mind. The simplest solutions sometimes were the most often overlooked.
So what, exactly, did Enter do in the end? She simply unplugged the cables connecting the ride to the main power outlets…and plugged them back in again. Phenomenal work, really, but at least it was a starting point. Sometimes turning it off and back on again was all a problem really needed. Enter wasn’t wholly sure if that logic applied to amusement park rides, but it was worth a shot! She already brought all those other do-dads and tools out to help her if this didn’t work out anyway.
I absolutely love snakes & dragons, and am always happy to receive them.
I'm also always happy to get new scenery items and King Costumes.

Alocos was a bit stunned, had this choon really just drag a whelp into a danger zone?!
As he looked around, he saw a lot of broken glass and exposed wires, This place was dangerous, but he was excited. He needed protection though, he spotted some gear near where the chicoons had been earlier, and decided to have a look. He found some work boots, gloves, a hard hat, a bag with a few miscellaneous tools(that he had no clue how to use) and a map. He slipped on the boots and gloves and put on the hard hat. they were way too big, but they were the smallest he could find. Now... should he cause mischief or actually help? Or mabye a bit of both?
