prompt: Every summer, Priya and her family take a little vacation to the coast, where they go on routine snorkeling adventures in the bright blue waters. Though she enjoys seeing the reefs and their biodiversity during the day, Priya loves nothing more than going on night snorkels to see the manta rays- her favorite sea creature! Normally these night snorkels last about two hours, and despite going on these adventures multiple times and hearing the tour guide ramble on facts she already knows, she adores watching the large creatures swim around her as she admires them, loving the way the moonlight makes them almost glow through the cool clear water.

As a sheep who eat grass all day long, Betty is perfectly aware of the importance of algae and that "underwater grass" always fascinated her. She tried a little bit of it once... it was a little salty, but she liked it!

While sea creatures are cool and all, Fanta much prefers looking at something else whenever she goes snorkeling. What would that something else be? Seashells, of course! While a reef isn't a reef without the beautiful coral and sea life, Fanta also thinks that the different types of shells scattered across the floor of the ocean add to the wonderful sights of the reef while snorkeling during the day. Her favorite shell to see while snorkeling would have to be a conch shell, of course. The reasoning for why is pretty simple, as they're very nostalgic. Growing up, she was told that she could hear the ocean if she held one up to her ear. Since then, she holds the belief that the conch shells in the reef are what she's listening to! Like the conch out of water has a direct line to the conch shells in the reef.

Studying coral reefs may be a part of her job, but it is nonetheless something she loves dearly.

Nothing, to her, comes close to the sight of such a vibrant underwater world, corals of all shapes and sizes rising up to greet her. It is the sheer variety that overcomes her everytime, a cityscape on the ocean floor. Ever the dutiful study, she is able to identify them by name, measuring them and checking the health of their structure. Corals can be finicky things, but few know them so well as she does.

Methodical though she may be, Aurelia is never too serious to find joy in her underwater surroundings. There is a reason she fell into this line of work, a reason corals are her very favorite thing- they are fascinating, and beautiful and complex, something she will never tire of seeing when she delves beneath the waves.

Vienna adores seeing sharks on her snorkelling trips. Amongst the corals she would see the usual dog sharks and nurse sharks which are pretty usual. But the ones that really gets her adrenaline going are the tiger sharks and bull sharks. They are huge and often times very misunderstood. They’re not always looking to attack anything that move. Countless of movies have given sharks a bad rep but Vienna always advocates and vouches for them. Sharks are always curious and while there are times they come a bit too close for comfort, Vienna would always help to redirect them away peacefully. She loves watching them swim and interact with their surroundings. It can be quite the sight to see, watching large schools of fish separate and disperse as a shark swims through.
