I sculpt horses a lot more than I draw them these days. In sculpting, I often get stuck in a rut of perfectionism where I just can't reach a point where I am satisfied with a piece and spend hours and hours trying to fix whatever it is that's making it look off only to get further from the goal in the process. I hate that stage. The early stages where I am just creating are a lot more fun. I'm at that place with a piece now, one I really want to get right so it's very frustrating. I need to take a break from it and figured I'd go back to my roots, so to speak. I used to sketch horses all day every day, I never do anymore. It's fun and free and none of it has to be perfect. So that was the goal here, just to draw.

Final pieces are amazing and all but I've always had a massive soft spot for sketches/early sculpting where you can see the energy in it. Love this!

tbh I don't have much experience with either/3d art in general. I think my brain handles that kind of thinking pretty well for my drawing (I have been playing with perspectives!) but I haven't put it into practice yet. It's something I'd like to try at some point! But. Times/money/attention/energy. 😭 You know how it goes!

Digital! There are some nice free programs out there, I highly recommend giving it a try. There is a learning curve, or more like a getting a feel for it curve, but I've been doing it for some years now and really enjoy it c:

Understandable! I am just in the Breyer and custom model community on Facebook that's just why I asked! I bet they are amazing!
