I think this is a ok place.
In my experience you would do a slot trade. Which is when you do two breedings. One foal goes to user1 and the other goes to user2. PM/post if you don’t understand.

If we were to start our own adopts thread, how would we go about figuring out pricing? I've never been good at assigning value to things, and I don't want to under or over charge for them.

What hosting site are you using?

As for giving people things they can just copy and paste, the [*code][/code] function is your best friend. There's a button for it between the "quote" and "list" functions when you're in the posting window. So for example, I type this code into the box (minus the asterisk):

And I get this when I post:
