Dh Gene
Dh can also cause a lightening of the coat known as Dun, When (Dh+) is on black it is dun, but when it is (DhDh) on Black it is silver dun. When (Dh+) is on a red it is a Yellow cow, and when it is a (DhDh) on a red it is white. When it is a silver dun the nose is a grey-ish color and when its a white their nose is a pink-ish. In order for calf to be White or silver dun each parent must pass at least 1 (Dh) gene. Dh has not yet been seen to effect Wild Type
Dc is rare, it acts to soften any colour even further (makes a red animal light red, nearly yellow for example) while it can be seen in SVC's it is rare and can explain the in between cattle.
