A loud crack was heard over the horizon, and a bright flash lit up the stormy skies. It was perfect in the dead of night, where they’d heard the news of a storm rolling over to where they were. Of course, they’d hurriedly set up a camera just for the perfect moment, having the setup for a perfect photo whenever lightning struck the rod they’d set up in anticipation. Of course they were a safe distance away, staying safe in a small cabin just in case.

It always fascinated them, how electricity seemingly generated from nothing within the clouds. The bright flashes were quite pretty to them, and the loud sounds exhilarating. They’d studied various types, some that they could hopefully eventually find someday. Each were different from the other as it streaked above them, the branches extending out with each crack heard. It was calming even, despite how loud it seemed to to others. Despite the event that they were waiting for had low odds of occurring, they were eager to watch.

A loud bang was heard, as lightning struck the copper rod outside, a snap of their camera capturing the perfect moment. They were in disbelief as they immediately looked through the snapshot they had taken. A perfect picture at the right place, at the right time too! A perfect entry into the photography contest with its clearly defined bolt. For now though, the sound of thunder in the distance would lure them to sleep peacefully.

onyx couldn't contain her excitement as she stepped outside. it was a day she had been eagerly anticipating, for her favorite weather phenomenon was about to unfold.

as the first raindrop landed gently on onyx's outstretched paw, she noticed something extraordinary. it shimmered and sparkled, revealing a stunning array of colors. in awe, she watched as each raindrop acted like a prism, casting a mesmerizing spectrum across the once-muted scenery. suddenly, her surroundings burst into a vivid tapestry of hues.

onyx couldn't believe her eyes as she saw her own reflection amidst the rainbows. the black and white fur she has seemed to come alive, embracing the ethereal magic in the air. every raindrop that fell painted her in a kaleidoscope of vibrant shades, transforming her appearance into a living work of art.

Corvette had always loved summer. The days? Longer. Nights? Cooler. Memories? Never-ending. She was especially fond of the nights, embracing the warmth of the atmosphere and the cool breeze that always seemed to linger.

On one particular night, Corvette had decided to take a drive down to the beach. She had her windows down and let the wind blow through her hair. She had the radio turned on and was singing along as the sun set. When she arrived at the beach, she parked her car and made her way onto the sand. She walked the beach, feeling the sand between her paws and the cool ocean breeze on her face. As the night went on, Corvette began to feel more and more relaxed.

The stars were bright in the night sky and the moon illuminated everything. Corvette then looked up at the sky and smiled. She loved the way the night felt so peaceful and free. She laid down on the sand and began soaking in the joy of the moment, letting her eyes close as sleep took control.

When she awoke, the night was coming to an end. She could see the sun begin to creep over the waves on the horizon. Corvette still felt the warmth of the air and the fresh breeze on her fur. She felt fresh and anew, and she would never forget the feeling. She had found her peace in this warm summer night and it was a feeling she would always cherish.

Tuuli huffed and puffed as they headed up the hill. 'Just a bit more', they told themself firmly. 'Almost there'. And it would be worth the effort.

True to their word, the top of the hill crested before they knew it, their aching muscles protesting as Tuuli flopped down in the grass under the shade of the large tree. Below them was a sea of long, tall grass, swaying gently. But the best was yet to come.

After a couple of minutes, the wind picked up, wicking the sweat from Tuuli's brow. The quickening breeze swept through the broad leaves of the tree above, making them rustle with a comforting sound. The grass in the endless fields rippled like waves in the ocean, green and unbroken. Tuuli closed their eyes and soaked in the sounds of a sunny, windy, and peaceful summer day.
