It goes without saying that Apricot is a birdwatching aficionado, and really enjoys spending his free time going to nature reserves to watch the birds, or even into his backyard, to admire the flocks that come in to satisfy their hunger from the many feeders he has scattered about. Apricot, though he enjoys the many guides and identification books he has purchased and been gifted over the many years, enjoys sketching and creating his own guide of birds he finds as he goes about life. He sees the activity as more intimate, more special, as birdwatching means quite a big deal to him.

By and large though, if there was a single species of bird he could say he loved seeing the most would be the Altimira Oriole. Unfortunately for him, the location he lives in does not accommodate for the species' basic necessities, so he doesn't see them at all, but on a trip to the southern areas of Nimbus with his friends one year, he was able to see a few flocks in their natural habitat and came to love the beautiful orange and black plumage. Now, he tries to make an effort to at least take a vacation down south, so he can admire the birds he adores so much from afar, sketching them and listening to their sweet songs to his heart's content.

As a lamb, Adrien’s peers would often ooh and aah over the adorable puppy, bunny, and kitten clients their parents would tell of dream weaving for, but Adrien’s own sweet dreams were filled with nothing of the sort. In fact, knowing how bored he got while learning to conjure up anything beautiful or eye catching, his parents quickly found that tiny paws, majestic stallions, and singing songbirds would do little to lure the rambunctious baby to sleep. Young Adrien was always on the go, as if adrenaline alone coursed through his veins. It was enough to make his poor, mellow parents swear they were cursed, because what kind of Sleep Sheep would willingly go days without a second of rest?

We have affectionately also called it the uwu bird bc listen to it and tell me it doesn’t sound like it’s saying UWU. However, Echo loves this red-eyed winged demon spawn. He’s a morning person and loves nothing more than to wake up just before the sun could even peep over the horizon. It allows him to make the most of his day.

in these times, lun is quite lonely. he has nobody to interact with, nobody to look forward to. he sighs deeply, sinking even lower into the soft grass of the meadow that he called his own. the world was asleep around him, the birds were quiet and the other sheep of his flock had dozed off. he was alone.
until he noticed the blinking in the distance. it was a soft flash, on, off, on off... intermittedly. lun perked his ears in curiosity, eyes softening to the sight.
of course, nobody was ever alone, were they?
he let the muscles in his body relax, the tension seeping from him, as the fireflies came out of their hidden groves. the darkness of the air around him was filled with the soft flashing of the beautiful bugs, courting him in their natural dance. he felt his head tilt slightly upon his hooves, breathing slowing. the night air had become filled with the intricacies of the nature around him and it felt relaxing. lun still didnt find the comfort of sleep as he would so desperately want, but instead felt a pressure lifted off him that he didnt even know was there.

For as long as he can remember, Folklore has always had an interest fables. There was something fascinating about the unusual creatures and stories that people have come up with over the years - something that spoke to creativity and innovation that he has always found incredibly charming. He loves to utilize these sorts of stories in the dreams he makes - whether it be unicorns or dragons or old folktales about talking spiders - but there is one of these creatures that he has a particular soft spot for: jackalopes.

Folk, first of all, finds animals leporidae family adorable. They're cute and small and love and full of bouncing joy, if you ask him. They're also mildly unnerving. Think of the moment when you come across a hare or rabbit in the wild: that moment where you both freeze, staring at each other and holding your breath, waiting to see who will blink first. The duality of the animal is fascinating to Folklore. And that's even before we've gotten to the horns!

Taking a creature like that and arming it with a crown of horns is just objectively cool! Something so small that can pack such a punch is delightful to him and there's plenty of cool mythology surrounding them like how they can only reproduce when lightning strikes or how they can imitate the human voice. They're weird and he loves that!

The Red Panda is also known as the Lesser Panda, despite being called "Panda" before the famous Giant Panda. Later, Red Pandas were classified as bears, but it turns out they are the only surviving member of the family Ailuridae. Red Pandas have evolved to have a fake thumb, which was used to cling to branches in order to climb trees. Unlike the Giant Panda, Red Pandas have a more diversified diet. 99% of the food a Giant Panda will eat is bamboo, while Red Pandas focus on only the most nutritious parts of the plant, the red of their food makeup being small rodents, eggs and berries.
