Jasper is a broken soul with a terrible past. His parents were not the type to be loving and supportive. Instead, they were abusive and hateful towards their son. As a result, Jasper does not trust others easily. He is pessimistic, cold, and difficult to approach. His deepest desire is to find someone who doesn't care about his past and allows him to simply be himself, whoever that may be. Jasper doesn't have much hope for his future and so doesn't attempt to better himself or try to find opportunities that may turn his life around. He just takes each day as it comes and tries his best to survive. He's resolved to the idea that he is just one big mistake, as his parents always told him while he was growing up. He has basically been broken down and given up.
