Valmont's herd wasn't a very large one, mainly consisting of about six mares, that including his own dam. His sire was the lead stallion, but was dethroned by a bachelor who stole the six mares. Despite this, Valmont was born shortly after the event. His mother was very protective of the colt around the new stallion. But sometimes the stallion would get around her and attempt to get Valmont. He lived in that herd till he was a little over 3, when the stallion finally chased him out. After two years of roaming, he occasionally thinks about the members of the herd, his mother, and the other mares with their foals. He did long to see them, even if it would be a brutal fight.

Mufasa was part of the same boy band as Rogue he was the oldest in the group. He had spent most of his young life being chased with his mother because of there striking looks. So when he was sent out on his own he was very good at evading unwanted human and other attention. Which became infinitely easier with just himself to take care of. But as Mufasa wander he was lonely and he was always thwarted when trying to get some mares to make his own herd. So like the King he is he started picking up other young stallions and he was there ring leader. He shared his knowledge with these younger horses. Mufasa also spared as often as he could with the other young stallions, in the hopes it would help make him stronger. His favorite sparing partner was a young seal brown tobiano stallion with a bold star on his forehead. Mufasa finds that out of all the stallions in his band he miss this one in particular. For not only was he a strong fighter but he was actually willing to share knowledge and was a good companion.
